hope the team is not aware that there is some potential wiggle room

hey remember how exciting PO talks are when comming off a bad season ??

the difference is that this years PO talks suck because the team started out so horribly and with such high expectations

You have obviously forgotten about the Chargers capable back up QB that you guys cast off: Billy Volek. I remember him coming into a game in '07 defeating the Titans in their own house, much too their chagrin. Interesting how so many Titans fans don't want to remember that, isn't it?

it was interesting cause it was 11 on 1 and Volek still pulled it out, of course his psychokinesis combined with his ability to levitate more than evened the odds.

    On the Volek issue above:

While on the field as a player, I treat every payer like Randy Moss, Peyton Manning. I don't worry about a player based on where they fall on the depth chart. However in this case come Christmas vs. the Chargers, I have no concerns of Billy Volek beating us. No disrespect to the man, he did come in nicely when called upon, but he doesn't scare me the same way even 2nd tier players might. I couldn't explain how he shows up and disappears for his entire career. It could be being a back up and all, but he doesn't possess even what a 07 Kyle Orton did. You have to blow it for him to catch fire. And while we've surely screw the pooch this season several times, I believe thats all behind us. Its now cold, and the passing game takes a back seat to the tough runners of the league. And lucky for us the Chargers have enough bones in their backfield to create a skeleton of a rush attack they'll believe will keep them going. That will be their fatal mistake I think. I hate Philip Rivers, and do hope someone knocks him out so we have a shot at Volek. And when we do, those nice temperatures San Diego delivers year round will be the same reason they lose on Christmas day.

The Brownies we're even able to flip the script on the Steelers when they used the cold to their advantage. We're no Cleveland Browns, but the Chargers do remind me of the Steelers at times. So with that said nothing routes our 9-7 playoff bound team.

Denver will probably go 10-6 at worst and Baltimore looks to go 9-7 at worst, unless Kansas City, Oakland or Chicago pull a major upset.

I think Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Houston, Jets and Miami will finish 8-8 at best. If we finish 9-7 I fear we lose out on the tie-breaker to Baltimore.

    Interesting. We're very alive.

Very alive, actually. If we take care of our own schedule, I think a lot of these teams will cooperate and take those losses like they're supposed to. I think the microscope is on Pittsburgh to win the next 2 games, then lose to Miami. Chicago could help, but even if they don't, then don't count out Oakland. Al Davis doesn't seem to be jostling for draft picks anymore and they seem to have the AFC North's number this year. :greedy: I think we have to be more worried about Vince's leg right now. I don't trust Kerry anymore.

Got a question. Did Indy lock up home field advantage today? Cause if they did, then that is very bad for us. That would mean the Jags get to play Indy's backups. Which should come out a win for them.

I wish, but I don't see Jim Sorgi beating the Jags. Hope I'm wrong
