Cram it newbie, I'm not a hater.

I react to what I see, it's truth not hate. What do I have to gain by hating one of our players? Nothing. Yea we moved the ball against the Colts but we only managed 17 points and really it was closer to 10 since the last TD was a garbage TD. I've said Young deserves another shot next year as the starter but 5 games against average teams isn't going to sell me as the long term answer at QB. I'm sorry I can't be like you and be ready to hand the guy bags of money based on one drive, I actually want to see more, a lot more before we make him the long term answer at QB.

If 24/43 for 241 and 2 TDs 1 Int is a bad game for Vince, considering the type of bad games he had during his first three years, I'm comfortable with him being the QB.

what? so you were comfortable with Collins at Qb as a long term answer? The games werent a fluke and he didn't play terrible against the colts. He threw a pick and had two touchdowns. He should have scored inside the 5 twice but hes not going to be peyton manning and most titans fans dont expect that. He WAY BETTER than kerry collins and opens up the offense with tons of more options. Lets just remember kerry collins air fumble at the beginning of the season on the comeback drive where the guy just flat out lost the ball like such an amazing athlete without being touched on a five yard run.

    Hmmmm...

Eddy, the problem is that you don't stick to any one criteria to blast VY. Sure the TEAM only scored 17 points...but didn't Nate Washington drop a perfect deep ball that he should have scored on? Yes. But it's VY's fault Wash didn't catch it, right? But if you wanna go off points, how many points has the team been averaging with VY at QB? We've scored 30, 34, 41, 20, 20 and 17. That's 27 points per game avg. For perspective, that'd be 7th best in the league. How is that proof VY's NOT getting the job done?

All the stats are favorable for VY since his return and if not for his huge roster bonus and cap hit next year, you'd think he would certainly be the starter next year.

Has he been perfect? No. Peyton Manning hasn't been either. Keep things in perspective. He has been very effective for us and that has very much helped our problematic defense and allowed us to win many games. What's the complaint?

Weren't you one of the posters saying he can't read defenses, can't throw accurately, yada yada yada? I think he's proved that he can throw accuractely, read defenses, make smart decisions with the ball and make some spectacular plays. He still needs improvement, but he's only in his second year of starting. Ask the Jets if they'd like to trade VY for Sanchez right now. VY has shown he can be a starting QB in this league and how good he can get is a matter of time and experience.

While I understand we've played some less than spectacular teams as part of our winning streak, didn't we beat the Texans who have given the Colts and others a run for their money? Didn't we beat the Cards who were just in the Super Bowl? I know Warner wasn't there, but wasn't Leinart supposed to be a franchise QB with arguably the best WR tandem in football? Didn't Jacksonville school us the first time and look to be seriously in the mix for the wildcard? It's not like we played the Rams 6 times...

If you're not sold on him being an elite QB, no problem. That's not the argument. If you still believe he's not a good young QB, I don't know what other proof to offer...he's got the stats, the wins, the command of the playbook, the maturity and everything else the haters said he couldn't do!

Why would you even ask that?

I'm not blasting him I'm being skeptical. But as I've seen any reaction but praising Young is construed as hate or me blasting him. I'm sorry I'm not a prisoner of the moment like many of you.

Yea the Texans are a solid team and they did play the Colts well but as usual they fold in the second half of the year. Jacksonville was a great win sure. The Cardinals with Warner (despite what Leinart was supposed to be, he isn't) probably beat us (based on how good they looked against the Vikings who are obviously better than us). So yea those were good wins but nothing spectacular, beating the Chargers (or had we beaten the Colts) would have been spectacular.

I just don't get why everyone is so quick to just appoint Young the QB for the next 8 years or whatever. I wont deny he's looked good in these 5 games and in fact I'd be perfectly fine with him starting going into next year. But do I want to just go ahead and hand him millions and millions of dollars and a 7 or 8 year deal? No of course not. Ask the Rams what happens when you sign a QB to a big deal without seeing a whole lot of him. The Bears just gave Cutler 2 more years and 30 million dollars, how's that looking so far? The Browns gave Anderson a 3 year deal, he's now not worth the paper his contract was written on. David Garrard signed a big deal after his big year, now their owners publicly talking about drafting Tebow. I could go on but no I guess I'm just being a hater. I guess I'm just bashing a guy. What I'm doing is hoping the team learns from other teams history so we aren't doomed to repeat it. Young had a great rookie year and followed it up with a pretty bad sophomore year, who says it can't happen again? There's nothing wrong with being cautiously optimistic or skeptical but apparently there is when it's on gotitans and while talking about Young.

Why do you keep complaining about the millions being spent? Your not paying dude, and honestly what else do you eed to see? Im not calling you a hater and i know that you haven't been as critical on him lately. But i don't understand, are you saying next season will be his evaluation? If so then what are we doing now? I mean to me, ive seen him gel with cj and our wrs, he can still run. And now i see an accurate arm on him. So he is playing like the guy we drafted him to be. So of course going into next yr im looking at him as the future because that is why he was drafted.

Yea I would like to see how he does next year along with a strong finish this year. Right now it's nice and we've seen Young with some clutch moments for sure but overall we were 0-6, playoffs would have taken a 10 game win streak which would be near impossible. For the most part we were playing with house money, next year were going to have expectations. Do I think Young can take us to the play offs and win a playoff game or three? Yes. But if he goes out and throws 20 interceptions next year than what?

Yea and I know it's not my money but I'm still allowed to hope my team does or doesn't do something with their money.

Eddy, I think Titans will draft a QB late in the draft and maybe booty will be on the squad next year? who knows. If VY comes out on fire and he is infact our franchise QB, and we start building that once great Titan defense again.. I wouldn't expect anything less than a SB, but I was expect that this year and look what happened :hmm:
