I wish CJ didn't have these average games:

    Week 1- 57 yards 0 TDs (@PIT)
    Week 4- 83 yards 0 TDs (@JAX)
    Week 5- 34 yards 0 TDs (INDY)

If CJ can't surpass Dickerson he still can break the record for total scrimmage yards st by marhsall faulk in 1999. CJ needs about 150 yards per game rushing and receiving to do that.

Faulk in 99 had a sick year with almost 1400 yards rushing and over 1000 yards receiving so for CJ to top that would be something else.

Those games just make his push toward the record that much more impressive.

If CJ finishes with about 1,900 yards, and 600 yards receiving (both of which are very possible), beating Faulk is very possible.

What everyone should consider, is even an average game (50-80 yards) can be totally eliminated by one single run by CJ. A 60-80 yard bust is virtually expected every game now.

28 needs to feast on the teams with a bad run defense. 200+ yards in two separate games is (unbelievable as it might sound), totally feasible.

I'd love it if he broke the record, but I'm not expecting him to. It's certainly possible, but it's hard to ask for much more than what we've been getting from him. St. Louis may know that they can't beat us, but they might just load up every play to stop him and let us have a passing game plan. We'll see.

I think he breaks 2000, but doesn't get the record. Hope he passes Jamal Lewis though. The Faulk record would also be nice.

In a 4 year stretch 1998-2001 Marshall Faulk averaged 1360 yards rushing per season and 887 yards receiving. That is sick! His record is 2429 yards.

CJ needs 740 combined yards to beat Faulk's 99 total, 148 a game.

Tomlinson's highest total from scrimmage was 2370.

There is a chance he could break both Dickerson's record and Faulk's record. That blows the mind.

FYI OJ Simpson's averaged 9 yards more per game than Dickerson when he rushed for 2003 yards in 14 games

One thing which helps in the possiblities here is that the Titans won't have the luxury of resting CJ the final week for the playoffs.

CJ is not resting for anything........he is gonna shatter the record and Fisher and Dinger have told him they will do everything they can to get him close.

    CJ will get it done.

I wonder what rolltide thinks of CJ now?
