From watching Vince since college as I am a longhorn he's just simply so clutch! And he put the titans in position to win earlier; if Britt hadn't of fumbled this could have been a much easier win but ofcourse Britt made up for it!

I am glad to see somebody point that out in this polarizing "bash the haters" thread.

That finishing drive was nothing short of phenomenal. It was an amazingly poised drive by Vince. It resulted in a TD, not a field goal and he had no turnovers attributable to him.

But the game as a whole was a summation of the events of game. There would not have been nearly the drama at the end of the second half if Vince had properly managed the drive at the end of the first half. As wonderful as the game winning drive was, that mental error at the end of first half was equally as "un-amazing".

I point this out is not because I am a Vince "hater" but rather, I would like for people to quit with the "I'm a better fan than you" BS simply because Vince is playing better. Many people that are getting bashed as "haters" never "hated" Vince, they felt that his turnovers, his red zone production and his "meltdown" hurt THE TEAM.

I don't know ANYBODY who is not pleased with Vince's performance now that he is throwing successfully, scoring points and the Titans are winning. Let's give the "hate" posts a rest.

8 seconds left in the half and not kicking a field goal. We score Fisher looks genius,we screw it up he looks like a moron.

We still had the lead either way, I like the new gutsy chit or bust call style from Fisher.

Allowing the kick off return immediately following CJ's 85yd TD run was the real killer. It was tough to overcome that. There are no excuses for ST to still be a mess at this point in the season.

Not putting the best players on the field; Kearse over Dave Ball, really? Wtf? Jevon is done. I love the guy but he no longer has any value and has no right to be taking reps from Ford.

We called a great defensive scheme and although Harper did little wrong he was still the weakest link. Hood was playing better and we're missing a step now that Harper is back.

Fisher is the one accountable for the call to end the half, special teams and not putting the best players out there. We won in an awesome fashion so I really don't care.

That was a tough defence we faced. No excuses about Leinart, he played well enough to win the game.

I don't see any reasonable argument to criticise either Vince or Britt. It was a game of inches and our big play ability sealed it. I don't think it was a one off. With Cook,Young,CJ and Britt all on the field together we saw a glimpse of something special yet to come. We have a dangerous offence.

Things are looking bright for the future.

Things happened the way they did for a reason. It's a useless agenda to try and point out the foible at the end of the first half and say "It would have been easier" to win by a FG instead of a TD. Childress is right. During the game I told myself to not fall into the woulda/coulda/shoulda trap, and stay focused on the opportunities ahead. That's what the team did, and it paid off in spades. Quite frankly, it's the kind of victory this QB, offense and team needed, so regretting it for a couple of field goals is ridiculous.

As for the "hate"...c'mon...the real hate was the posts that started against Vince before the collapse. Warranted, but even at the time, a lot of stuff said was over the top, even if VY deserved the loss of respect. It was severely beating a topic to death. You could overflow a landfill with that stuff. Big deal. You dude's'll pitch, but you won't catch. :moon2:

Ahh, just kidding. But I find it funny you can't take a little of this :makefun2: after all the months of negative posts and belief belittling that went on. This isn't just to the posters in this thread, but five weeks in and guys are tapping out? It's just a message board. At least the stuff people post here is in much better fun and spirit than the other stuff when Young wasn't playing. He earned the rep he got before, and for my money, he's earned the one he should be getting now. Yeah yeah, he needs to play more, but I think everything most everyone has asked for has been shown, barring those few who will continue to ask to see more out-on-a-limb scenarios Young will have to fight through to earn their respect.

I agree with Childress79 with this I like the fact that they were trying to get a Td before Half. If he scores he looks like a genius with a guy like Vy always trying to make a play that a good thing. It's like Big Ben how many of those dumb sacks does he make but at the end he seems to make you forget about them. You have to take chances in this league to be great we seen were every time you get a blitz throw it away got us.:grrr:

Anyone who has followed Vince's career know one thing for sure and that is he is a special player. IMO there's only three qbs playing today that could have made that winning drive 99 yds out with the game on the line. Manning, Brady and Favre are special players and so is Vince. There are players who make their teams better and Vince is one.

Now saying that, Vince learned an important lesson (i hope). What got him here was his physical talent and we saw flashes of that but what will keep him here is the mental toughness that ever great player has regardless of the sport. When things are not going you way how do you perservere. Will I lead or will I fold and Vince has shown that he's ready to lead.

I didn't know whether Vince was pull it out or not. Actually, I did but I reality say the percentage wasn't in his favor. After the tip pass that Schaife caught I felt it was possible and the one that I wasn't nevous on was the winning score. I seen it before and I didn't know how it would happen I just knew it would happen.

CJ what a player, kept the Titans in the game and IMO is the best back in the league and should be in the running for MVP although he won't get serious consideration.

    Go Titans

I am not totally conVINCEd yet, but I am proud of him and hope he continues to improve. Major props to you Vince! It's all about patience and confidence out on the field and you've showed that lately so thank you!

The only thing one had to doubt was Vince mental toughness which was in question by some after the meltdown if that what we are calling it. The football player, the athlete was never in doubt in my mind.

By Vince performance against the Cardinals throwing for 94 yards on 9 of 16 and one TD in the final 2:37 should give Fisher more confidence in opening up the passing game and and keep the Colts guessing on whether they will get a large dose of CJ, Vince threat to run and a REAL threat to pass. That's a lot for a DC to worry about.
