After the Titans beat the Cardinals and the Colts (tall order but doable), I think Fish should don a VY Jersey in the post game conference & say he wanted to feel like a winner. He should then draft a QB late in the draft as a backup to VY in 2010 and cut Kerry loose.

Props to Jeff for putting the ball in VY's hands late in the game. He could have had him hand off to CJ and then kick the field goal. This shows he trusts Vinnie to not lose the game and shows VY's teammates that he supports VY. Contrast with Kubiak's decision to have Schaub take a knee to only have Chris Brown miss the game tying field goal. Schaub is a much better passing QB than VY will ever be. Poor move by Kubiak. It also highlights why Jeff should remain the Titan coach (his winning attitude reflects the Titans play on defense and offense). I will forgive his stubborness in sticking with Kerry and move on.

    Bollocks.

He gets a precarious lead in the field goal, turns to Cecil and says ok dial down the pressure now and let's give them a chance to get back in the game.

In a minute the Texans are in field goal range and have a chance to put the game into overtime.

Fisherball kept the Texans in the game.

Care to explain yourself rather than make an empty comment?

Fisher was miked up against the Bills. We've had many a debate on this board about our style defence once we have a lead. No matter how well the D is playing when we have a lead we run a bend don't break version of prevent.

It usually doesn't force opponents to burn time offf the clock and it usaully allows them to score on us and put pressure on ourselves when we were in a good position.

The question has always been was it Schwartz or Fisher behind it. We we're doing it with Cecil so it seems to point to Fisher. Check out the video in the link. At 3.32 Fisher turns to Cecil and tells him to dial down the pressure from the defence. LINK

The decision to not kick it deep instantly gave the texans the ball at the 40. That was a bad call.

I do defend the defensive calls because a FG only ties it and sends it into overtime. The last thing we needed to give up was a long touchdown to andre johnson.

Childress dude the strategy worked and we won the game. What were we supposed to do leave harper 1 on 1 with johnson again and no safety help? Give them a winning TD?

The texans had too good field position to start that was the real problem.

I understand the strategy of not giving up the big play of course. However our bend don't break defence rarely forces teams to take time off the clock and often gives up big plays.

We do not run it well.

On the Texans two previous drives we forced them to punt. Why turtle and allow them to march down field? They could easily have made the field goal and put the game into overtime.

If they win the coin toss they have momentum and we'd be in hole.

It's just my opinion of course I think we were lucky that Brown missed the field goal.
