Mike Golic is on our side.

He was one of the very few who picked the Titans to win last week, and he has gone out of his way to talk us up on the show the last 2 weeks.

Yeah Golic seems to always have something positive to say about us.

I try and watch Sportsnation on ESPN2 every day, but I cant anymore because of Colin and his obsession with Tom Brady. The only good thing about that show is Michelle Beadle :)

It's simple, Colin uses people as examples and makes up the logic. Peyton is great because...he surrounds himself with good people (who - he has no idea). VY - who he hasn't believed in from the start (because he's not a traditional type of pocket passer) is the whipping boy because he thinks he'll fail and the reasoning? He can't say because he's a scrambling QB...perhaps he used to hang out with Pacman...a poster boy for bad news. Yeah, that's it.

I too enjoy Colin, but he does say some crazy stuff every now and then.

And there is no anti-Titan agenda though most of the people don't take the Titans seriously. Perhaps because they started getting on the bandwagon at 10-0 and didn't like the quick dismount. Add in a rough 0-6 start and....you get the idea. Actually, around NY, they had a ton of credit up through 0-4...guys saying it might be the best 0-4 team ever. At 0-6...the Titans became a head scratcher for the believers and a whipping boy for the non-believers.

But of course, there are always people who won't believe in a player no matter what 'evidence' is thrown in their face. Hoge comes to mind. Here's a guy who predicted VY would be a total flop and shouldn't have even been drafted. He made these statements even BEFORE VY was drafted. But the fun stuff is, after VY singlehandedly beat the blitz to rush for the game winning drive vs the Texans in year one...Hoge was asked...looks pretty good, right? Hoge, unable to stomach humble pie, said he made a 'mistake' running it and it only showed he can't read defenses because he should have THROWN the ball.

Take it with a grain of salt but enjoy the repeated humiliations of guys like Hoge who just can't compute with guys like VY. Plus, ESPN is as much about entertainment these days as they are about news. Get used to it.

Blah, blah, blah, a sports analysts is all about opinion, perception, and just a little fact mixed in. We are certainly not the biggest fish out there when compaired to the NY, Texas, Florida, and California teams which make up 10/32 NFL franchises. I like to listen to some of the analysts out there, but usually I am listening for info around the league. When we are doing well we get tossed the occassional bone, but given our player conduct the last couple of years, it is going to take quite a while before that tarnishment is gone. Vince is going to have to prove he is over last years issues, and has become a competative NFL QB. The knocks of his maturity, relationships, and n the field judgement won't happen after two decent games. He will have to prove himself for the rest of the season, get his passing numbers up (without to many bad desisions) before he will get some real love from the media again. I think he has showed alot of progress, and I hope we are seeing the fruits of development and tough love from the coaches begining to shine through. I personally would love to be able to say to all the VY hater "told ya so" because I was on the bandwagon during/after his rookie season. Point being, you got to scoff at the radio/television when they make dumb or incorrect statements, love being the underdog, revel in success when we get no love/respect, and enjoy the running game instead of prolific passing to be a sustainable Titans fan. We are fickle, we can get loud, we might even cuss the players and coaches from time to time, but we love our Titans!

Wow, I really got of on a tangent with this post, whew.....

FYI...Benson does lead the league in carries. In fact, he is actually on pace to be close to Larry Johnson's 2006 record of 400+ in a season.

Most people would consider those that they work with "friends" and when your co-workers are going through a tough time, whether its their fault or someone elses, the right thing to do is to be there for them and let you know that they got your back. I'm sure alot of this went on in the locker room. Colin Cowherd made it sound like Pacman and VY had been friends since birth and he also implied that VY is a hooligan. The whole segment rubbed me the wrong way. I'm sure we can find a podcast of this.

I was watching SportsNation on Monday after work, and Colin Cowherd said if the Steelers didn't win that game that they would finish the regular season 6-12. How does he say that? Its impossible to be 6-12. If you lose 12 games you won 4 not 6, and if you win 6 games then you've lost 10. That guy says other thing too that make me wonder how he got that job.
