Looks like our next game just got a little easier...

I see this as a pretty evenly matched game. It should be a good one. I still think that we really turned things on and it is gonna carry over week after week.

I see us having another really sound game in all areas. Our defense is gonna have its hands full with Gore so I'm expecting a big challenge on that front. I'd stick Hood on Bruce and Finnegan on Crabtree. MJD went off on us, but you have to give him his credit for that. It's arguable that our tackling was weak but the kid is strong as an ox too.

I thought that Kaesviharn did ok, and Griffin doing KRs was a nice change. I cringed every single time that Mouton was in there returning (dropping, more like it). And that was even before he ate it in that NY game. He just didn't seem comfortable back there.

Overall, we've made some serious improvements. I know that it's Jax but still, we played great team football. Our whole mentality has changed, not just because Vince is in the driver's seat now, but because we realized as a team that we aren't as good as we thought we were. All that BS about us being the greatest team around inflated our egos and spoiled us.

And then when push came to shove teams weren't just rolling over against us. They pushed right back and bam, we're 0-6. I know it's just one win, but it was a d@mn good division win.

 

well i'm not sure if the players are saying that or not but the fans are saying that exact thing.....contain cj and they will win the game. i wondered over to a 49ers message board

 

we know jeff will stress "better tackling" in practice this week, so i honestly think if we bottle gore up and bring pressure at smith, we'll get the win.

i like our chances with vince/cj over smith/gore...however we need to keep vernon davis on check and limit crabtree's receptions. if our secondary plays as good as they did sunday, itll be a W

 

patrick willis is no where close to being as good as ray lewis!!! First off i can say numerous of times where vince juked bob sanders and broke bob sanders tackles too! If he can juke a safety who hits harder then any other safety in the league, he can def juke willis or just flat out run him!

 

Well so far in 2009 Willis has more tackles, sacks, interceptions, forced fumbles and pass deflections than Lewis.

I know Lewis is a great leader and all that. But Willis has just as much, if not more, physical talent as Lewis.

 

well one the reasons that is true, is cause lewis has a whole lot more talent around him! look at bullucks numbers over the two years we went 5-11 4-12 to the last three! they've gotten a whole lot worse cause the team didnt have to depend on him as much! Plus willis is a little younger then lewis too!

This is my first post here, and i would like to wish good luck for next game and hopefully an injury free game.
Yes its a huge loss for our best offensive linemen and corner to get injured, but we have got viable backups at those positions. And people who are saying nate clements was benched against indianapolis....NO HE WAS NOT BENCHED. it was just a mere defensive gameplan, and it was working smoothly until he got injured. niners usually put shawntae spencer on opponents best wr and shade him up with a safety. Since colts dont have any better 2nd wr, niners chose to put him at slot to help dallas clark and the run game.

 

And what is up with the profile pic, why is it displaying titans???

 

You do realize Willis is MUCH faster than Ray Lewis right? He's probably the most fastest linebacker in the league right now.

I have a good feeling that we'll beat the Niners. Lets hope Vince doesn't make any costly mistakes and has a decent game. I mean it shouldn't be that hard to pass on defenses when you have one of the best backs in the league.
