His point was they stack the box against Kerry, while VY spreads the D out. Pretty simple concept.

Let me answer with a question

Can anyone any QB ever get better at their job
    - it looks like VY may have taken a step in the right direction

No, if i would have meant it like that, i would have said VY carried CJ on his back for 150 yards sunday. I meant that now defenses can put 7-8 in the box to stop the run because VY can run play action and actually get positive yards with keeping the ball.

As far as VY's play, it was by far the best passing game I have personally ever seen him play. But it was after all just one game, the rest of the season will tell more about his development.

And, there lies the problem. Some fans want to win Super Bowls, and some want to watch an exciting game. That is the division of Vince homers and Vince realists. As boring as this team is to watch at times, I absolutely get wanting to see something exciting. I'm all for an entertaining game too, but to choose that over winning a ring is an idea I'm having trouble grasping.

Yes, there have been QB's that can extend plays by being mobile but neither of those QB's checked their first read and if they weren't open tucked the ball an ran. Both, especially Elway who had arguably one the strongest arms ever could read a defense, make adjustments and decisions on the fly and deliver a home run pass more times than not when the team really needed it most.

Big Ben is probably one of the best out there at keeping the play alive by being mobile but his eyes are always down field looking to get the ball in the hands of his play makers...that is the job of the QB isn't it? Put the ball in the hands of the play makers? VY can't look down field, read defenses and deliver that much need home run pass more times than not. His stats prove that more times than not he throws an INT not the home run pass! I don't think a year on the bench with his earphones in listening to his Ipod has changed that. Time will tell though!! I'll give him credit, this is the first time ever that went an entire game without throwing an INT... Oh yeah, he actually gave the Jags one on a silver platter but they dropped it!!

Not true. I believe this was the first game where he hasn't thrown an INT or been sacked.

11 posts so far, every one of them hating on Vince. :ha:

Ben wears No. 7 because he wants to be John Elway. Vince wears No. 10 because he wants you to know he's twice as good as Collins (its really to honor his mother). If Collins can help win 12 games and lose to the Ravens then Vince can win 10 and beat them in the playoffs.

Don't hate on VY just because he has his own BBQ food line and was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He has his own BBQ food line and was on the Leno show....I didn't know that!! That changes everything now, in that case I have no doubt that he's twice as good as Collins... Now I know he's the man to take us to the Superbowl!!:ha:
