Fisher is a GREAT coach!!!

with this dudes logic do we really need a head coach? obviously they really have no real control over anything...
1) if a player sucks its not his fault for drafting them...
2) if the team loses its cause the players sucks... also see above
3) if the team wins its cuase they have great players, but if you refer to 1) im not sure he gets the credit here either?

had enough of fisher, like to see someone with some fire!! after last week dealing with everyone about how bad we got are but kick and he acts like he dont have a care in the world!! and what would it hurt to get a new coach??

when a 13-3 team goes 0-6 the next year there's a problem with coaching, conditioning, preparing, adjusting

Jeff's problem is his inability to adjust and make the hard decisions

after an 0-6 start and a 59-0 loss heading into the bye, I can guarantee you probably 31 of 32 teams would be making some sort of change

there's no change at QB, no change at DC, noone moving, up, down sideways..... nothing

 

Back to the OP. Gimme a d@mn break. Sure Fisher is one of the most respected coach's around the league, I won't take that away from him. But what has earned him the right to be untouchable? I mean 0 zero rings in 15 years. And he's barely won more games than he has lost over that time period too.

We've given him the benefit of the doubt because he is our coach afterall. But he's also the only coach we've ever had. So that is more telling than anything. I don't want us to fire him right now, but he should be let go after the season. Thanks for all the great seasons of underachievement and disappointing heartbreaks Jeff. I won't miss you a bit. Especially not your smug and condescending demeanor and personality.

 

If you like a coach who talks to the media and fans like they're a bother and excels at mediocrity while crapping on players who don't fit his 15 year old plan instead of improvising for them all the while excelling to the highest echelons of mediocrity then I agree that he is awesome!

 

First off Detroit sucks because other than Calvin Johnson they have :grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr: and one player cannot take you to the promise land, put Schwartz, Cunningham, and Linehan on this team and we would NOT be 0-6 right now we would be in a dogfight with Indy for the division lead.

We lost fat a** Albert and Chris Carr from last year; a 300lb tub of lard that likes stomping on OL's heads and a special teams guy while upgrading at the receiving core our one achillies heel. We had a productive off-season losing a liability in AH yet we haven't won a single game when in reality we should be at least 3-3 right now or even 4-2.

Players don't forget how to play, when there is miscommunication and confusion over play calling, it falls straight on the lap of our HC/GM and Reinfeldt is only GM in name Fisher is running every aspect of this team.

Seeing Griffin go from a pro-bowl safety to a UFL washout is sickening and as far as Fisher being a great coach I have nothing against Fisher but how dare you call him a great coach when coaches like Callahan(assistant with NYJ), Turner(on the hook in SD), and Harbaugh(second year HC) made him look like a joke in the postseason.

Fisher is a modern day Schottenheimer case closed.

 

You can be a great player and play on terrible teams. The buck stops with the Head Coach. How many "Great" head coaches do you know that coach on bad teams?

 

Depends on who you classify as great.

 

Have we forgotten all of the GOOD that's come from Fisher in our team's history? And I understand that "all good things must come to an end," but I really don't think any of us are in a position to ask for his resignation (aside from the fact that Bud already said it isn't going to happen). Let's just cool off for a bit with the angry mob stunt.

Remember: It could be worse, Eric Mangini or Tom Cable could be our coach.
