I pretty much agree. Like it's been said a million times on these boards, Fisher has something against VY and I wouldn't be surprised if KC starts in week 8.

Fisher and Heimedinger don't seem capable of such things.

He probably has Vince's playing like crap against Vince.

That said, when nothing conventional works you need to think out of the box and try SOMETHING. Doing the same thing over and over when it keeps producing terrible results is the definition of insanity; if you're going to flunk as a coach, at least go out swinging for crying out loud. I think Vince is a terrible pro quarterback and will never amount to anything, but the Titans are at the point where they should be resorting to any kind of crazy gimmicks they can pull out of their butts. Embrace the madness I say.

I'd skip the Wildcat and turn the insanity up to 11 and have Vince run a Spread Option offense like he did in college just to see if I could steal a win or two that way by confusing the crap out of everyone. It could hardly be worse than what we're seeing now, and at least we know Vince can run THAT offense without being overly confused. Vince is, of course, useless as a pro QB, but this team is at the point where they're doomed anyway.

Ok, what I'm failing to understand is what Bud wanted, what Fisher wanted, and how the communication broke down between them.
Bud wanted Vince. So I'm assuming Bud knew that Vince was an athletic playmaker that was more suited to non-traditional offenses and plays.
Bud also knows that Fisher is well...Fisher. And he plays Fisherball....not exactly Vince's best style of playing.
Sooooo....where did Bud seemingly forget that Fisher and Vince would probably not get along (given their style of play/coaching) when he told Fisher to draft Vince?
The fact that Bud said recently, 'I would like to see Vince play, but I'll leave that to Fisher. That's his call.' WTF Bud?????? :irked:

I kinda think from the beginning that Fisher never really wanted Vince and it was mainly Bud that wanted him. So the first chance Fisher got to push Vince to the bench he used full advantage of that and kept him there longer than he should have been kept there. If that's the case which I have no idea if it is then Fisher doesn't deserve to be our coach.

Lets just put Reggie Hodges behind Center. I bet that will work.

    That's what I'm saying.
It would seem if Bud wanted Vince, and knew what his capabilities would be, this convo should have happened:
    Bud: I want Vince
Fisher: I don't run the type of plays that he's accustomed to. Why can't we get Cutler?
Bud: Because I want Vince. I don't care if you play Fisherball, find a way to come up with plays catered to his strengths.

So what puzzles me is that Bud wanted Vince, and should have known his capabilities, yet still sits back and lets Fisher run the show the way he wants to run the show. Seems like Bud is trying to have his cake and eat it too and it just doesn't work that way in this situation.

Vince didn't dismantle this franchise, Bud himself did.

    Well...

The same thing happened with McNair. Fisher didn't want to draft McNair, he wanted a certain DE that ended up on the Titans later in his career. But McNair was looked at much like VY...a playmaker who will never succeed as a drop back QB. McNair had his best years throwing the ball under Dinger so I'm sure the thinking was...if it worked for McNair, it can work for VY.

However, I'm a little baffled that they don't run the same plays they ran back then and don't appear to really game plan plays for opponents. It appears they are just gonna run their base offense vs everyone whereas other teams offensive and defensive coordinators are gameplanning against ours.
