What will playing Vince do?

I don't care so much about the record anymore this season, at least playing Vince and having CJ in the backfield will give me reason to watch. With those two in the backfield we will for sure have some highlights to enjoy.

 

It will prove nothing.

The problem lies with the Defence.How is VY going to be able to play to his strengths if he's asked to throw it all the team because we're behind on the scoreboard?

Having to play catch up is killing us.

 

Unless the defense miraculously turns things around against a high-powered Colts offense i say screw it & play VY. Otherwise, if we lose we'd have to win 11 str8t & i dont see that happenin....:grrhee:

 

Well if he can't help the team(as bad as it may be) then there is NO reason to pay him 30 million over the next 24 months. So yes it will prove a lot. I am not saying that VY has to win every game for them but he does have to show he can lead this team and earn his 15 mil next season. He has 15 million to prove.

 

I don't think it's time to start Vince. We could very easily have been 3-1 or 2-2 right now. So far most of the games we lost were pretty close so we really just need a few adjustments from being back on track. Playing Vince right now would be a huge gamble. It is still possible we can turn things around but if we remain winless going into the bye week then when we return I think we should play Vince and see where he stands and what we need to do with him.

 

The season is over IMO.

Wait until after the Pats game and then turn it over to VY. It will give him two weeks to work with the first team offence.

The rest of the season will tell us if he's worth keeping. With Cecil's defence though I really don't think that VY will get a good opportunity to play to his strengths. Maybe he'll revert back to 06 which would be fun but not worth a dime for his development.

 

LOL at going into the bye week 0-6. I would only hope if we are 0-6 going into the bye week then VY isn't our concern, Fisher is. If the Titans go 0-6 then that will give Fisher a record of 38-42 over the last 5 years. I am not sure what Bud expects but I would expect a lot more than .500!

This isn't about this years record, we are done son! This is about our VY investment and what we will do next season. There is no way any owner in the league is going to pay a guy 15 mil to sit on the bench so by the end of the season we either have to know that we are keeping him and work on a contract restructure or not signing him and looking for a new QB.

 

Yep, and by that logic of going on close games, we could have easily been 9-7 last year as well.

 

I don't think Vince will be much better than Collins in the passing game, but I think he could add another dimension in the run game. Maybe somehow that helps open a few things up for the running backs, or at least down the line helps his pass game once teams spy on him again.

I just hope if he does play this season that he's not scared to run and that the coaches aren't scared to let him run.

 

If vince plays:

8/19 1td 2ints 130 yards passing 55 yds rushing

If kc plays:

22/37 2tds 1int 275 yards passing -5 rushing

pick your poison, that's my prediction for each QB if they were to start.
