    It is a difficult and overwhelming task for a coach to watch the opponent's game film, break it down, come up with defensive schemes and then translate it onto the field. People dogged Schwartzie, but he was extremely smart.

    I love Chuck so much....Jeff is going to stand by his Coaches and players/Collins, through the worst. Time for some Vince.

    you dont need game film to know what teams will do, for instant. I can save the Titans time and tell them Clark and Wayne are going to kill them. Shut those 2 guys down or go 0-5. simple.

    When Wayne reels in a few deep balls for TD's and Clark is picking up 8 yards chunks your going to be screaming why aren't we covering these guys!


    The 2 biggest play makers on the team will have the least coverage, book it.

    i think it's pretty obvious a defense would try to stop the two best weapons on an offense. they're the best weapons they have because they're difficult to stop.

    it's not as easy as "stop these guys and we win."

    I rather lose due to Manning running 400 yards than to get beat how everyone thinks you'll get beat!

    Smother Clark and Wayne, if we going to lose ,at least stop these 2 fools and force the other guys to beat you. That way you have a bright side to your loss. You get beat by these 2 fools then our Secondary is going to be part of the post game C'Mon Man.

    Yea, we know to stop Clark and Wayne. What needs to happen prior to actually playing them, is a game plan. The Coaches need to bereak down game film, note plays and players' tendencies. Then, the Coaches need to come up with specific plays and schemes to defend the attack.
    When these things aren't done, then you have a big hot mess. Griffin, Hope and Finnegan didn't suddenly stop being Pro Bowl caliber players. Even the best players in the NFL needs a gameplan.

    that makes no sense. we can't just put four guys a piece on clark and wayne just to not let them beat us....

    As much as I disliked how passive his play calling was I will give Schwartz credit for being intelligent and well prepared each week, which I think most people took for granted.

    I don't doubt Cecil is working hard to fix the D but I don't think he is as smart as Schwartz and his inexperience is hurting him.
