Who do we miss the most? Schwartz or Haynesworth?

I know a lot of people feel like the answer to our problems would be to start VY.... Let's just say, I dont agree with that at all. Although, you would have a good arguement today... My beef is with the D. We look so bad that it took every ounce of disipline I had to keep from destroying my TV during that debacle today! There's no excuse!

For years, people on this board have complained and complained and complained about Schwartz.... Our secondary looks lost and we have everybody back that was there a year ago... And our D was top five in the league all year... I guess Schwartzie wasn't so bad!

I can't believe how ineffective our DLine has become without Haynesworth. We put zero pressure on the QB and the running back could drive a bus up the middle...

Fisher has to be a little nervous. I hate to say it but I'm scared to see what the Colts are going to do to us...

I think Cecil is a little over his head.

    Just ranting a bit.

2008 Titan D was top 5 only cause Jimbelina was holding them back from being #1

I think I miss the execution of plays from last year more than I miss Al and Jim. Why I say this is because no matter how much we miss these people because of our faults this season, its the past and nothing can be done now. We can rant, we can cry, we can rejoice(which I doubt anyone in their right mind as a Titans fan would do) but all in all we have to focus on turning things around with what we got and not dwell on what we had last year as far as personal and players. Though it is unlikely we'll see any major changes cos Fisher has too much pride.

I think the Titans are missing Schwartz more right now. The game plan versus the Titans has become pretty easy to figure out and I'm not seeing the defense adjusting.

Hit a WR with a quick pass/slant because the CB is giving seven yards of cushion or take a three-step drop and find one of the gaping holes in the zone. The Titans have made average QBs look like Peyton so far. And now they have Peyton to deal with.

    Clearly Schwartz.

We did fine without Haynesworth. And he wouldn't be playing right now anyway had we paid him.

I miss what Haynesworth was but he's not the same player he was the last 2 years for Washington which we all knew he wouldn't be.

Schwartz is def the more missed. I was always a fan and to the people who weren't be careful what you wish for. His team has more wins than we do with less talent.

There's no question in my mind that we are severely missing Schwartz. We won some big games without Albert last year, I just don't see us making any damn adjustments! Maybe Fish should fire Cecil and take over the defensive calls? I am so frustrated with this season having to defend my team to all my boys!:grrr:

"Maybe Fish should fire Cecil and take over the defensive calls? "

How effective would that be? I think the entire staff is living in the '80s. Under Fisher's leadership, the coaches have refused to change play calling and refuse adjustments. I think the players know this but have no options. They have to play the calls, knowing they are not going to work. And that is what is depressing them. Just maybe one or two of them will be brave enough to speak out.

You have to wonder just what goes on in the coaches' meetings. Are they so blind that they will never see? scary

Cecil is clearly in over his head. I don't think it is simply because it is his first year as DC.

Fisher nepotism at its best. Supposedly Cecil was hired because "he knew the system" and "there wouldn't be much change". Well- the performance has changed dramatically. But to be fair- the offense hasn't looked any better the past two games either and is keeping the D on the field alot.

    This team is unravelling.
