My answer would be, Fisher doesn't want to risk exciting the fan base with Young until he has to aka Bud Adams tells him too.

 

last year we could afford going three and out the first three drives like we did today because our defense was good enough to withstand it. this year our offense is doing the same things as last year minus the terrific defense.

Quite an embarrassment. I do not want to get into the blame the O or D discussion....we sucked in all phases of the game today.

I read the post game quotes....its like Fisher is in denial, and the players (those interviewed, at least) cannot understand why they are 0-4 right now. This is not a good sign, IMO. I hate to be negative, but I do not see this getting corrected any time soon, and we will most likely be 0-6 coming out of the bye week.

All that being said, I do think we are getting close to the point of playing for next year. The biggest item we need to hash out is whether or not VY is the QB for the future. We can only find this out if we give him time to get his feet on the ground again, allow opposing defenses time to re-adjust to him, then see how he responds. This cannot be done in 2-3 games.

I think that, if we lose next week, it will be time to make the change. If we weren't playing the Colts in prime time, I would make the change this week.

 

the you know what is really about to hit the fan... Fisher's classic fisherspeak isnt going to be working anymore. The media can try to shield him as much they they would like but the results tell it all. There is a lot more that is going to come out of this. We wont see VY unless Bud makes the call. Fisher has been done with Vince for a while now, and Vince wants out of Tennessee and has kept quiet about some of the things that have been going on behind closed doors. I can guarentee you we wont see him play unless bud adams himself makes the call

 

Gunny, you are wrong here. There is a lot more that has been buried about the situation with Vince Young and Jeff Fisher. It isn't Fisher just sticking with Collins, as I just said in my post above, Fisher has been done with Young for a long time now. It will take Bud Adams making a call to have that changed. If anything was an indication of something to come, it may be that Bud stormed out of his box today at the game. Think about this. Haynesworth wanted no part of JF, he wanted out out badly. The media has buried a ton to shield JF. AH told Vince that once the coaches have made an opinion on you, you're a dead man walking. Bulluck still talks to Haynesworth regularly and has said he believes he is this years dead man walking.

 

BA is 109 years old, hes not gonna put up with those types of things. If I was in BAs shoes WIN NOW would be the game plan.

 

I thought the Titans were in an early hole because the offense had three consecitive three and outs.
