I think the dude has come a long way since USC. I used to hate watching his interviews and now I skip Fisher's interviews to hear what Lendale has to say. His attitude is great imo and if anyone on the team has a reason to complain then it should be him.

He was the only glimmer of hope in this weeks play, he should have had more touches. (maybe some of those last 13 dirt balls KC threw)

    Thoughts?

Yeah. Another instance of Fisher failing. Lendale finally gets in shape- looks faster-stronger-better...

and it's now that Fisher wont give him touches. Is the guy retarded?

I'd say he will keep him fresh for later in the season when CJ and opposing defenses are worn down a bit

    or

Asking price drops if he doesn't perform.

The only explanation that makes sense to me is that Fisher has been abducted by aliens, and replaced with a drone. But on this alien planet there is no such thing as a running game (perhaps not enough gravity??), so the drone has only been programmed to throw the ball non-stop. Probably because they only learned about football from watching ESPN satellite feeds.

Point to the mistakes all you want. In each game we've had the chance to put the mistakes behind at the end, and to win it. Each time we've not been able to move it when it mattered. Sack. Int. Incomplete. All those words are fancy ways of saying you've abandoned your run game completely. Doesn't work for Brady or Manning, so it sure as heck isn't going to work for Collins.

I think Fisher needs to stop listening to talk about getting CJ the ball more and use LW more strategically.

Here is my point. CJ has great stats at the end of the day but he simply isn't consistent. Against the Texans after you take out his long runs his average on all the rest of his carries was only about 1 yard per carry. Obviously we have to give him the ball because we don't want to miss out on a big play but we have to consider things like first down and field postion as well as TOP.

For example. How may times have we handed the ball off twice and ended up with a 3rd and 8. Even when EG was only averaging 3.5 YPC at least you could hand him the ball twice and you would have a 3rd and 3. That was Fisher ball IMO and then the offense had options on third down.

Now we have 3rd and long and the defense pins their ears back and puts pressure on KC. We can't run a screen any better than a pee wee team so that isn't an option. We run a great draw but it either nets a 90 yard TD or minus 3.

I say Give LW more carries on early downs. Let him get us into 3rd and shorter situations. I'd also NEVER have CJ on the field in a passing situation unless you are going to send him out on a pass. Any time he is trying to block he is being wasted. Let him be the hot receiver. Use him in draws, screens (LEARN TO RUN ONE) and sweeps. Even get CJ and White on the field together. I love Hall as a blocker but he offers nothing as a runner or receiver. With White AND CJ we can run or pass and White can be a decent pass catcher as well as a pass blocker.

Bottom line White gives us more consistent positive yardage and better ball control and IMO they need to figure out how to use him more effectively. If we want Cj on the field all the time we need to figure out how to better utilize him with White and get him more involved in catching balls instead of trying to block.

At least LenDale fights for yards, the second someone lays one pinky on CJ he goes down. Unless he's running around or away from people he's lame. I would def give LW more touches, the guy deserves it.

Yep. I noticed that yesterday. LW is a lot harder to bring down after contact than CJ is.
I've also noticed that defenders try to shoestring tackle CJ low. WTF has CJ not even once, tried to do the Ben Troupe leap over these guys. He's got a 4.24 speed which tells me he's full of fast-twitch muscles that would allow him to jump like a gazelle. The one play that Polamalu blew up with CJ behind the LOS where he shoestring tackled CJ low. CJ could have jumped over him and got a nasty huge gain.
