Really...when is the last time Collins has taken a big hit? Seriously...think about it.

The Jets have given us fits for years, this won't be a push over.

You're right. Niether the Texans or Pats have a running game as strong as the Titans. The best way to stop an aggressive, blitzing defense is to run the ball right past them. If our LB's are forced in defending the run, that opens up the underneath passing game for KC. If our DL can't control the run, it could be a long day.

I am not so sure our offense will improve in this game. We rarely get as many points as we did last week .

I do remember what Fisher coached teams usually do after a couple losses. The defense starts hitting hard with little worry to their own health.

Not saying this will happen, but I do expect it.

If our Defense dont do their jobs, i better at least see Fisher in their faces instead of calmly on the sideline. Only time i remember seeing Fisher mad is when Haynesworth stomped on the Dallas players head and got ejected. I think thats what these guys need, knowing they have a coach thats going to make them pay for the weak effort they give on the field. Don't reward them by benching them for another player.

The Titans will come into this game intense and focused. Mawae will have the O-line focused and creating holes and cutback lanes. LenDale will be running behind his pads and CJ will be looking at swing passes. I don't see the offense passing down field much at all. A lot of two tight end sets.

The D will play disciplined with intensity finishing plays. I expect the D-line to play with urgency throughout the entire game.

I believe we will see injuries from legal, intense hits on both teams and both sides of the ball.

    Hey, Jets fans. Welcome!

Alright, to address Jenkins, you know about our center. He was your center for years. You know he's going to do some nut-punching in this game, lol....ahhh.

Anyway, this is going to be a great matchup, I believe. Fisher knows Ryan's scheme at Baltimore. Fisher has as much Buddy knowledge as Rex does, so as far as these two go, I expect the usual chess match here.

Revis is very good, but even though they haven't looked like it yet 1) I still take Cortland Finnegan over him and 2) we still have three probowlers in our secondary. Thus, I do like our ability to cover up Cotchery and Stuckey versus the Jets secondary to cover, yes, Gage, but add Washington and Britt. Our rookie has been very surprising.

Aside from Johnson, though (I expect traps and draws, screens and slants to him this game) I believe you guys are going to see Jared Cook this game, who will be the other matchup problem. He's the 6'5 rookie TE who runs a 4.5 flat and will line up on a LB or S. Led the team in catches this preseason and caught them all with his hands. I know Keller is very nice, but Cook is going to be different. I think we'll see more of him this game. Not sure if we have Scaife back, but our pass-catching TEs, if both are playing, will make a little difference here. It won't all be Johnson.

I think the Titans are going to commit to the run a bit more this game. I think LenDale will be used to wear down the Jets' D.

Yes, Collins is a statue back there, and the pressure the Jets will bring has me worried. Could be ugly on turnovers for us. But the Titans do have a top 5 OL, and Collins is kept cleaner than he has ever been in his career.

Back to CJ...I do believe he is going to be used to decoy the Jets D and draw coverage this game, thus, keeping the box cleaner, or giving someone else a one-on-one matchup elsewhere. Conversely, I'm hoping that Jones and Washington don't give us trouble in the run game. I'm more worried about giving up big plays to Washington, but Jones shouldn't be disrespected by any means.

It's going to be a great game. Titans need this one badly, and it should be a great battle of new and old Titans in New York. Sanchez is looking good so far, but our Titans' gameplan will be to rattle the rookie in ways he hasn't yet. Even without Albert, I still expect Sanchez to face new levels of pressure that the Texans and Patriots just weren't able to bring.

^I agree with everything you said except for Finnegan being better than Revis (if that's what you meant). I'd still take Finny too cuz he's on our team and I like him but Revis is a better all around corner.

Yeah, but Revis doesn't have Finny's scrappiness. That's something that can't be taught. The last time I checked, this is a contact/physical sport moreso than it is a finesse one.

Jared Cook = freak of nature

I heard someone mention that Ryan may even put Revis on CJ if he splits out wide. Fair enough, but who's gunna cover Washington, Gage and Britt if that happens?
Have CJ and LW in the backfield, split CJ out wide. If they put Revis on him, that would leave their #2 or #3 on Gage/Wash/Britt, and a safety or LB on Cook. If they still stack the box, that will most likely leave one of our Rs in single coverage.
I want to see more deception, misdirection and trickery.

Revis may not be as "Scrappy" but he is still plenty physical. He is very good in press coverage, better than Finnegan. Finny would probably be better at it than he currently is IF WE WOULD PLAY SOME STINKING PRESS COVERAGE. Revis may not like to try and throw receivers around and suplex them like Finny but he is a better cover corner and good in the run game.

    Put it like this:

Finny scares (moreso annoys) some receivers

    Revis scares most quarterbacks

In today's NFL a corner that can lockdown a receiver is more valuable than a more physical corner.
