Jets fan here (in the interests of full disclosure)

Nine, you really can't find a game with two halfs that were more different than that one. Based on the first half, you were right. In fact, the Patriots looked to be outplaying the Jets on every level then. But the Jets 'D' kept it close and the second half was a complete turnaround.

One factor not mentioned yet here is Kris Jenkin's back. If he's close to 100% he's a game changer. You could see it in HOU where he absolutely destroyed the center of their Offensive Line repeatedly. He was a lot less present in the Patriots game and it showed. If he's in and playing healthy, the Titans will have a very hard time getting anything going up the middle. Chris Johnson still scares me though. If the Jets have a weakness on 'D', it would be the scampers to the edge or the quick slot passes. With your lack of a dominant WR, I would almost expect Rex to put Revis on CJ on some plays.

One other factor to watch is the crowd noise. Last week, for the first time ever, the Meadowlands were so loud that that Patriots had multiple delay of game penalties at the line. They just couldn't hear anything. I hope the crowd can keep it going. It would help if Fischer wore a gray hoodie or Collins pasted a picture of Tom Brady on his helmet.

As for the 'trap game' debate, I can certainly think of a lot of reasons for TEN to bring its 'A' game this week (0-2 start, last season's upset). There is nothing about this game that feels like a 2-0 team against an 0-2 team to me. I'm really glad it's a home game though.

    Cheers!

I agree with you when it comes to our weakness on D. That middle slant seems to be pretty effective against us. Jenkins is a beast but he's also going up against one of the best centers in the game, the Titans run game worries me. I think we'll see Sanchez let it fly early & often this Sunday. I also expect to see our D blitzing from all over to throw KC's timing off and force him to throw before he's ready.

Tennessee is desperate for a win, combine that with the revenge factor for the loss to us last season, and I see a very tough, hard hitting game. GO JETS.

This game will be physical. There will be injuries. Key personnel on both sides will likely be put out of the game.

I'm hoping that our boys can keep their emotions in check for this game so they don't get caught off guard. There was too much anger and hostility for them to focus, especially our defense. Don't get me wrong, it was great to watch, but it would have been better if it had ended up as a win for the Titans.

I'm hoping we don't have the Keystone Cops for an officiating staff either. That staff was probably one of the worst staffs I've ever seen ref a football game in my history of watching football games.
It wasn't just the horrible calls and missed calls....for both teams. They just looked collectively incompetent. Hoculi's game-changing blunder last year even pales in comparison.

I don't know what to expect from either team. Honestly, the Titans tend to play better when they go against good defenses. Doesn't always translate to wins, but I think we should see a much more polished Titans team next week. Closer to what we saw in PIT, but with a healthy Washington and Cook hopefully. So ironically, the play of the Jets D is probably a good thing for the Titans.

Special teams is still a big question heading into this week. It would be nice to make it through a game without muffing a punt. Sure would be nice to know who our punter will be. Perhaps we'll just always go for it on 4th down.

Based on the last 2 weeks, the Jets should win this in a good fight. But based on the 1st week the Titans should have handed the Texans a major arse whooping. On paper the Titans have too much veteran talent, and should beat the Jets. But on paper means about as much as the previous game.

You do get the sense that TEN will get back to their style of football after the 65-point arena-league nonsense of last week. And the Jets haven't played this type of team yet - both HOU and NE live by the pass which tends to play into the strength of the Jets D. I expect the Titans to smooth out the couple issues that they have had, and if they do I expect a win. If not I think our season will begin unraveling and things could get ugly on TEN sideline.

I am going to go out on limb here and make a wild prediction. I don't know why, maybe a premonition or some kind of prescient knowledge but I am going to say that Finnegan gets into some type of altercation with a Jets palyer,a fan, an official or all of the above.
I know this is a far out thing to say but I just got a feeling.

    Deuce Wayne,
I'm with you on this not being a trap game per se. However jets526 reasoning is on point. We were suppose to slaughter the Jets when our schedule was announced, but now its going to be a good test for both teams.

I'd have to agree with the above. The Jets have been playing pass-heavy teams with weak defenses. Our offensive strength is the run game, and I think we'll stick with it this week. I think it will come down to whether or not you are able to run on us. Sanchez won't be able to test our secondary as well as it has been the last two weeks, unless you get significant help from your ground game.

Whoever gets the most yards rushing wins. I'm expecting a good game, but have no idea who comes out on top.
