i'm right there with you buddy. it made no sense to bite on play action when they hadn't established any sort of running game.

For those that keep asking why Harper was covering Johnson all game:

It's because Fisher makes Finnegan play the left side and Harper plays the right. It's a stupid idea, and I've never understood why he does it. And no matter what type of game their star receiver is having- he'll keep Finnegan on the left vs some scrub while our weaker corner gets beaten all game long.

All Fish has to do is stop being stubborn and switch them out. The other team makes the adjustment, and puts their best receiver on our weak corner- but Jeff can't do the same. It kills us.

How many times did we see a great receiver pick apart our worst corner all game long in the past with no adjustment from coaching? Too many.

i heard on the radio that the coaching staff wasn't very comfortable with harper's ability on the other side so that may be the issue

I agree with a lot of what has been said here. Bottom line is this... our defense has given up roughly 60 rushing yards, and close to 800 passing yards in the first 2 games. If that passing yards number doesn't get down, we will NOT win many games. The short passes up the seam and the screens to flat are killing us because our secondary is playing so far off the ball in a drop back zone. It's like we try not to give up a big play, but then decide to cheat up on play action and do anyway. They need to get their heads in the game, play the scheme, and win a game.

If we keep losing these close games we will be out of playoff contention before you know it. Although the way these first 2 weeks have gone, I don't think we are anywhere out of it yet. We need a couple wins though to get us rolling. Mistakes will happen, but losing these close games every week is starting to take its toll... not only on the fan base, but on the team as well. We have to play tougher and learn to close out tough games. If that doesn't happen, we will be the best 0-16 team in the history of the NFL.

Following the 34-31 loss to the Texans on Sunday, several Titans defensive players said they saw things they hadn’t prepared for and thought the team did a poor job of making adjustments during the game.

Adjustments were made on the sideline but weren’t executed on the field, Fisher said. He addressed the subject with his players on Monday.

“Let me set the record straight here: When you are a good football team and you start off the season (0-2) there is going to be frustration, OK? And the only way you get out of it is you avoid pointing fingers at anybody,’’ Fisher said during his weekly press conference at Baptist Sports Park.

“Everybody accepts the blame and you move on. There were adjustments made on the sideline for each and everything that we saw. There was an adjustment made for that last big pass that they made. I heard it. The players alluding to the fact that we’re having trouble making adjustments need to pay better attention to what is going on on the sideline.’’

Nick Harper gets a big glass of shut up juice.

    WOW!

So the first thing Fisher says is you don't point fingers when you start poorly.

THEN he immediately points fingers at the players!

(And I didn't think I could lose more respect for the Head Coach.)

he's not pointing fingers at players. he's just addressing the coaching being questioned. it wasn't like he just called him out without reason.

whats making me more worried than the actuall loss is the locker room. The situation is starting to remind me how it was after last years jets game with lendale, and i hope we can handle it like then and come out next week with a win.

even if it was against the lions...

This is why (article below) Fisher made the point about not finger pointing. Not only did Harper SUCK in yesterday's game, but he starts flapping his jaws like a total bafoon after the game
