everythings in a hungover fog, but here's what I remember:

    1) We missed AH yesterday.

Sure we got some pressure on Schaub and knocked him down a few times. But no sacks, and we gave up two fourth down conversions. I see the stat is 5/16 on 3rd down conversions but I find it hard to believe. It seemed worse to me, too many times they would come up with the play when they need it. AH makes the job of the other D-lineman, and entire defense, easier. Today we missed him. The secondary really missed him.

    2) We miss Chris Carr.

I guess it wasn't "realistic" that he stay here since he wanted to compete for a starter job. But our return game SUCKS. We don't have any legit option at this point. Its gonna hurt if this problem lingers all season.

    3) Let's not fire Cecil yet.

I do remember some db blitzes that cost us, but at least we mixed it up. I'm not sure how anyone stops Andre Johnson, although he shouldn't be 10 yards behind the defender either. But that first td where he bobbled it to himself, that was just amazing skill. I know as Titans fans we've forgotten what good receiving looks like, therefore its easy to blame the D, but a big part of that credit goes to Andre (and owen daniels).

    4) Keep Vince on the bench, for now.

Vince would be crucified by fans if it were him yesterday with that INT and fumble. But KfC of course will get the pass. Let's keep KfC as the full starter the next two games and see what kinks are worked out. If it's the same average outing the next two weeks, THEN play Vince a series a game for the rest of the season. Something to mix it up, and so we can see if our former 3rd overall pick belongs next season. (I'm sure some will talk about KfCs two tds and overall yardage, because Chris Johnson doesn't deserve any credit... which brings me to)

    5) Play LW more.

Chris Johnson had 18 yards in the 4th quarter. Let's use LW early and often to wear down the defense, so CJ is fresh all throughout the game.

    6) There is no part of me that believes we will win a Superbowl with Fisher as coach AND Collins as QB.

Our offense over the Titans years only worked because of a few people. McNair made it work because the play would breakdown, he would scramble and make something happen. Eddie made it work because he could average over 3 yards on 300+ carry seasons. Vince made it work because the play would breakdown, he would scramble and make something happen. See a pattern here? CJ is making it work by busting homerun plays.

Maybe its because I've seen it so long, but other than CJ no one wows me on the offense. The O seems stale and predictable. Like 8 minutes to go in the game, CJ runs left for 4, CJ runs right for 4, KfC throws it incomplete, punt. Maybe if it was first quarter fresh CJ it would've worked, but not in the 4th after using him all day.

    7) We lost to the Texans.

They have a good offense, and a real bad defense. Next week we play the Jets, so that's pretty opposite. Most 0-2 teams don't make the playoffs. During Titans years, we've never gone to the playoff 3 years in a row. I get the feeling it's going to be a long season.

    Hey Alex1939,
Even in your half drunken state of mind, you got this one right. I agree with everything your saying. Not having Haynesworth is clearly becoming an issue, because the QB's are sitting in the pocket comfortably for days. Our defensive lineman come in fresh, but play like they've been in for hours. Not creating last season pressure up front is the main reason Harper is being torched.

And we know our return game is crap. Javon Ringer will never get a cool moniker playing the ways he has thus far. If Collins sorry self could just get nice constant field position maybe we wouldn't be 0-2.

Vince Young please be learning! Your number may be called sooner than later, please don't let us down. Once again Grandpa Collins is sucking, so it'll be up to you to save the day like in 2006. But this time you should be more capable and get us into the playoffs.

Come on now Collins isn't sucking. The fumble really hurt but its not uncommon even for good QB's average throwing one INT a game. I was dissappointed in the playcalling yesterday. We NEVER challenged the Texans defense downfield. Maybe it was cuz our O-Line was allowing too much pressure on Collins (Roos got handled by Super Mario yesterday), but I only remember two even relatively deep passes yesterday. The one Gage caught out of bounds and the one out of bounds over Nate's head. Texans secondary isn't even good and we didn't challenge them at all.

I thought the Oline pass blocked well yesterday, they only gave up one sack on a play where Collins held the ball for to long (which he does all the times but our Oline usually protects him anyway)

Collins isn't sucking but he isn't great either. He seems to have trouble at times during the last few minutes of the game. That fumble sealed the loss for us.

True. I managed to stay awake and watch the end of the Cowboys-Giants and was envious at the way Eli was moving in the pocket and led that final game winning drive. He's really developing into a nice QB.

And here I was thinking that the defense* letting Schaub and company score 17 freakin unanswered points sealed the loss. What was I thinking?

*a defense that never really started playing like they should have

Cecil: you and your secondary have some real soul-searching to do in the next week.
Griffin/Hope: S.T.O.P B.I.T.I.N.G O.N T.H.E G.D play action and pump fakes!!!!! Keep your arses in your spots. You should have already learned the hard way that being overzealous and freelancing costs your team big plays.
Harper: sit down and let a CB who can keep up with today's WRs play
JJ: Every Titan's fan is behind you on you watchin' your boys' backs, but just be careful in the future. We need you on the field more than anything.

Jake Scott: seriously? Did you (and Stewart per the first game) forget where to line up on the LOS, and did you forget you're not supposed to move before the ball is snapped?
