Fourth Quarter???

    Now dont get me wrong kerry collins played mainly a good game! But did anyone else get the feeling, especially on our last drive when we had three incompletions due to their blitzing and a poor decision by collins on 3rd down, that Vince Young might have been able to hurt their defense in that situation? Mainly because if they blitzed like that that would have allowed for the qb rollouts and the opportunity to allow him to run? any thoughts?

    Vince young under pressure would have done what he normally does, kept trying to make something happen, when nothing is there. He refuses to throw the ball out of bounds, which was the right play. He'd rather try to run around and get sacked, or force it where the ball shouldn't go.


    No, overall. A resounding no. Collins was the least of our worries, and I don't think many people are going to fight for VY to come in as long as Collins is playing this way.

    actually when people blitz vince is when he can run the best. For example the houston texans game with his game winning td, they brought the house and looked what happened. Either way he couldnt have done any worse then collins did in that situation

    That was his rookie year...It doesn't take John Madden to tell you his running game hasn't shown us anything close to that in 2 years.

    Maybe you didn't see the preseason, but I'm pretty sure even Kerry Collins can run just as well as Vince Young can now.

    I cant say that I wanted to see VY in at that moment. It's Kerrys job. But I can tell you that I 100% NO CONFIDENCE that he would move the ball in that circumstance. And as typical, he didnt prove me wrong.

    I don't think Collins is the right guy for a team that plays close and puts itself in a position to either win or lose late. Time will tell.
