Matt Jones?

I keep seeing comments about how slow Jones is.....let us not forget, Jerry Rice had a blistering 4.71 forty.

he doesn't look "soft over the middle" in that video...

 

Hey...give the kid a break. He's a Jag fan. Can you imagine being a Jag fan and having that team to look forward to?

 

I say we get him signed by noon!! It will be a great pick up. Matt has completed all that was ask of him and he is a great kid that got messed up by people he thought was friends. He will help us to finally have a top notch receiver group.

I never said that either one of them couldn't play because of their 40s. All I stated was that .13 is a big difference when it comes to NFL speed.

Look, we all know that Matt Jones can play ball. The problem here is we have one WR who's actually produced in the NFL on our roster(Gage), Nate Wash is injured and a couple of Rookies backing up. We also have a converted TE who we might have to split out wide(Cook). Trim the fat, sign Jones, release Paul Williams and Mark Jones, let Lavelle return punts and let Cook learn how to play TE so we can utilize his complete mismatch.

 

OK, heck I thought the whole point of my response was to demonstrate that 0.13 seconds doesn't mean squat which I thought I did.

Look, I'm not against signing Jones and he could turn out to be a decent player for us but his flipping 0.13 better 40 time doesn't mean squat at this point.

 

I could care less about .13 better time. What I care about is a guy who in 12 games had almost 800 yards and over 60 receptions.
