Matt Jones?

Jones is a solid WR. He'd be a good addition if he has his off the field issues under control. But that's really the question...

 

I think we're gonna sign him. Not really thrilled about that.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports after five weeks of discussions, the Tennessee Titans are bringing free-agent WR Matt Jones in for a visit Thursday. Tennessee has been searching for a veteran receiver since before the NFL draft. It has explored any number of options, but the one it is zeroing in on now seems to be Jones. Jones' agent, Alan Herman, also has been in contact with the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears regarding Jones, but the Titans are the team that is acting fastest. "This is moving quickly," Herman said Wednesday. "We're ready to go and get a deal done, and we're optimistic we will. Matt is in outstanding shape, he's ready to go, and we think Tennessee would be a great fit."

 

I'm all for this move. Jones cuts well.

:grrr::grrr::grrr::grrr: it. i didn't like the idea initially but since he's coming i hope he signs. everyone knows we need some depth or whatever. dude has talent. we all know it. if the guy worked out (as a team member) and went down to Jacksonville and just went off with something like 7 grabs for 110 yards and 2 tds... how awesome would that be?

 

well i guess it would be better depth than Hawkins and Paul.

cant really complain if you look at it like that. plus he is another deep threat like Nate.

 

Paul isn't even in the equation.
