VY will likely be #2. We all hope KC remains healthy. Given protection that the OL consistently provides, he is the best, most effective choice. However, I would not have a problem starting VY either. He makes a few mistakes, yes. But, overall he is a talented double-threat QB with a strong competitive drive. This competitive drive is the well spring of most of his bad decisions. He's just trying so hard to make things happen that he forces it. Sometimes this results in jaw dropping plays. Other times it leads to lost points or, worse, opponents points. I'm not comparing him to these guys. But, John Elway, Brett Favre, and other such players also have made the huge mistakes just as they have the amazing plays. As evidenced by his coming back from the horrible interception, VY is gaining much needed maturity in sitting behind KC. When #10 is again called on to lead and produce, I, for one will be ready to watch and root.

Also, as usual, I know that we are all ready for the start of the regular season. But, please, don't read too much into these preseason games. After all, the Colts under Dungy regularly lost the majority of their preseason games. Then, they went on to dominate in the regular season.

    Finally! An intelligent post.

For the record, I'm not at all neutral, I acknowledge his up and down preseason, but I'm glad the coaches have been giving him ample opportunity to succeed- which I want him to do, by the way.

Crown him or stone him- at this point it doesn't matter. We have to make due with him and count on the coaches to minimize his mistakes during the season, in the games that count (if his number is called). Bringing in players this late only does this team a bigger disservice.

As for a KR specialist, I also like Mouton and Ringer. We'll still have to see how Fisher addresses that issue.

Maybe it's just me but I get the feeling some fans just can't see Vince for what he really is, a bust. I guess some people will defend a guy till the end.

It's your opinion. But I for one didn't join this board to b!tch and moan all day and night about VY and his personal life. This season couldn't get here any slower.

Ringer (in my opinion) has the skills to be our return guy.

I don't like this new guy. One of the good things about last years return game, Carr did NOT mis-handle the ball or fumble. AT ALL. He was as solid as a rock.

It was a plus that he could make some people miss.

I have a hard time seeing our dudes fumble & muff kicks again. I say give the job to Ringer, & it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that I have him on my fantasy team. lol ;)

You best be in a deep league or at the very least a dynasty league. Picking Ringer is a homer beyond homer pick. I love the kid but come on. Or your playing for fun and it doesnt matter. forgot about that option.

High Five! Many of my same observations. I particularly thought "There's no way we cut Ganther and keep Henry." Plus Ganther is backup fullback in emergency.

I liked seeing our 2nd stringers playing against the Brown's first stringers though. Probably gives the coaches some real good film to look at. Our backup CB are bad, but it's good to know they were up against Braylon Edwards. Faggins vs. Edwards one-on-one better not ever happen in regular season, but in preaseason maybe it shows us something.

Really wish we would've kept King

For the most part (repeat "most part"), Vince's throws this pre-season seem to have more decisiveness on them, and his timing with the receivers is better. I'm sure I'm seeing less floaters and balls thrown up for grabs than he used to throw. In my view, Vince is an improved QB. And this is from someone who had pretty much given up on VY as developing into the Titans future QB.

I think Vince Young looked really good outside of the two plays. He looked sharp and seemed to be putting the ball on the spot. It was also nice to see him rip off one of those "2006" type runs.

Vince was just screwed on the interception though. If he takes the sack, it's a safety, if he throws it away, it's a safety (intentional grounding), and the pass was picked. Eddie George was also right when he said that it was a badly run route. The route should have been going more to the sideline than up the field, in my opinion.

Were we out of timeouts when Vince took off and ran?

Prepare to be taunted by the VY haters, angered at the fact that lovers blame every vy int on a bad route lol. You should have left that part out. Even if it was true.
