By that token nothing can be very strange. Either it is strange or it isn't.

I disagree with your assessment of the word strange.

I went out and bought HOUSE OF LEAVES, and ODD Thomas based on these reviews. I also got ONCE A RUNNER which is a classic.

    What about context?

If you have an autographed card numbered 1 of 25 it's unique even though there are 24 similar cards in the set.If you have an autographed card numbered 1 of 1 it's also a unique card.

Comparatively though the 1 of 1 card could be said to be more unique than the 1 of 25. In this context it could be viewed as very unique.

Unique can mean unusual. Something can be very unusual. Therefore, something can be very unique.

One of my first paid roles was from Arsenic and Old Lace, love that play. I second Cary Grant's version was great, i hear they are going to redo it... *sigh*

I fly through scripts when I'm reading them. Cuts out a lot of the adjectives and allows for more creativity on the part of the reader imo.

I'm not a big Vonnegut fan, but I love Breakfast of Champions.

Currently reading The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf. I should stay away from these kind of books. I had recently finished Lovely Bones and now I've picked up another Child abduction story. Its breaking my heart. But a great read thus far (and Lovely Bones is really quite brilliant IMO) ... we will see.

Just finished The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn which I enjoy quite a lot.

Now I am reading Robert Ludlum's - The Jansen Directive.

Finished the Weight of Silence (the end was a letdown imo).

Picked up Mr. Darcy Vampyre. If its as good as Pride Prejudice and zombies life will be good. If not I may end up droping it half way through.
