    I guess it depends on how you look at it.

    I see Mcnair with plus 10 in tds vs ints.

    I see Young with minus 11 tds vs ints.

    That is a negative 21 swing when looking at tds vs ints for Young in comparison.

    I also see Mcnair with 4 years straight with more tds than ints.

    I see Young with no years having passed for more tds than ints.

    That's a great cherry picked stat, if you count total fumbles as turnovers. He had 16 fumbles that year, but ony 5 were recovered by the other team. You can't count a bobbled snap that McNair fell on as a turnover for example, a fumble yes, but not a turnover.

    So let's be accurate:
    14 TD Passes
    13 Int
    8 rushing TD's
    5 lost Fumbles

    22 TD'S
    18 Turnovers

    Vince is not going to be allowed to be the type of qb he was in Texas. If so, that would have happened already. The question is, can he learn the mechanics of what he has been asked to do? I have no idea. Maybe Saturday will show more-or less-of his ability to adapt.

    Drew Brees was not so good in his third year either, then exploded...

    2003 -> 11TD-15Ints
    2004 -> 27TD-7 Ints!!

    Still, this is like comparing oranges and apples. By no means I think VY can develop into a Drew Brees, I´ll be happy if he could be half as good as Brees nowadays.

    You are correct and you do have a point but you left out Brees first 2 years where he had more tds than ints in both years. If every year Brees was throwing more ints than tds I would than look at his 3rd year as more comparable to VY.

    Maybe I'm nitpicking. To be candid Youngs words and attitude bother me more than his play at times. I view him almost like a Stephon Marbury (but to a much lesser degree and before Marbury totally flipped out). He seems to act in a narcissistic manner at times in my opinion. It is all about VY at times except when it comes to blame/responsibility. Than it is always somebody else fault. The oline, the wrs, Fisher, Dinger, Chow, the media, the fans, Kuharsky, espn, Merril Hoge, racism, the wonderlic test, the therapist, the mother, etc. It is always their fault. Vince is never at fault. The speaking in the 3rd person is also a bit strange as well.

    True his mechanics among other things simply aren't there. As the article said he has lost his swagger, his confidence so I guess a decent outing Saturday could help that some.

    However, VY is what he is. IMO gone are the days/games where we waited to see improvement thus giving us hope for his development. IMO VY has gone over the edge and reached a point where it is going to take more than a decent outing in a pre-season game for me to have any kind of confidence in him.

    I'd love to see Young quick step into the pocket, fire strikes to WRs with accuracy and on time and show some leadership we haven't see for a couple of years. I just can't imagine a scenario where that happens. When the pre-season started those were my expectations. That Young would be hungry and want his job back. But everything so far has been nothing but talk. I'll be the first to give him props if he can go out and prove me wrong but he needs to do it. Talk is cheap, either by Young or by his religious followers.

    we already knew the magic was gone.

    we already knew he throws like a 3 year old holding a box of crayons.
