yes...it's a low hanging scoreboard that can be hit by punts.

I was at the game and it appeared to me the punter was trying to hit it, just as they had done in warm-ups. If not, then it was a poor punt as it would have been very short had it not hit the scoreboard. The Cowboy kicker never hit it and he's a Pro Bowler, so it's hardly due to lack of leg strength, he just didn't hit any pop-ups.

The league has an issue because it approved the height and will have to take responsibility if it changes the rules after the fact at such expense. As to raising it for U2, the reports here say it will not be operational at the raised height. Its not clear if any major change in height is even feasible -- maybe a few feet but at 10 higher the board would go offline, which Jerry will never agree to, nor should he. My guess is they'll raise it a little (if there's cost protection) and move the add from the bottom and put it on top or make it part of the graphics.

Yeah, a 4 page thread about our video board on a (get this) AFC teams board.

I'm sure I'm the one requiring that cheese, or him for that matter.

The difference is that none of the things listed in that whine-fest stops the game.

I believe the Cowboys need to play a few games there before anything can be determined. If it is an issue, then the NFL needs to foot-the-bill to move it up 10-15 ft or whatever it needs to be.

Or, let's go with what MLB does since it works so well for them and just play it off the scoreboard. A live ball off that thing would give a little spice to the game.

If you agree that the pre-game punts were deliberately aimed at the video board, then there's only one punter -- and one punt -- to be considered. And if you watch the trajectory, it was either deliberately aimed at the video board or very badly shanked. I'm not sure which explanation you'd prefer as a Titans fan.

Either way, a 30-yard punt down the center of the field is not representative of the kind of punts that starting-caliber NFL punters should be kicking very often.

Because it's inoperable at that height. U2 isn't going to use the video board, they're just shelling out lots of money to move it out of the way of their set.

An AFC team that just got done facing you. If it was the Raiders having 4 pages about this then you may have a point, but we just played with that monstrosity so it's expected. Since it was the first game dealing with it, you should expect it to be discussed since its a new problem, and no one minds when JJ has to pony up some $ as a fine instead of 'bribe'.

Btw why wear titans avatar ?
