    I think if Ramsey started the season for us, we would win maybe 6 games.

    He cannot run, and i dont think he can manage the game as good as Collins. When in trouble i think Ramsey would take a sack or throw an INT. and his arm isnt that great either. I would not want to see Collins go down for 9 games and see Ramsey try to come in and take us to the playoffs. I rather have VY try it.

    Was Britt playing when Ramsey was in? Seems like Hawkins let a good pass from Ramsey slip through his fingers. I would like to see both Young and Ramsey have playing time with the 1st string O.

    That's the Young we're all wanting to see. We've seen it before, but it comes and goes. I'm willing to chalk last week's gaff up to nerves and rust and lack of rhythm if he can put 2 or 3 more performances like that together. He needed that pretty bad.

    FWIW, this is the reason I haven't given up on Young. He has been very inconsistent - but when he's on he's really dynamic and he makes things happen. So we know he's got the ability, and consistency tends to come slowly with experience. I'm still hopeful this is the real VY. He's got 3 more chances to make his case.

    Ramsey = JAG

    I'm surprised his last name isn't McCown.

    ... and if I'm Vince I'm taking Britt and Cook out for a nice dinner tonight, and maybe throw in a few thank you gifts.

    I had to go with VY this week as well. He looked good last night, with 1 exception and compared to VY in the past that's good enough for me. I would be curious to see if he can do the same next week though. I almost voted Ramsey just b/c I don't know if 1 game is enough to determine a position, I mean even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again. However, if he can keep this type of play up more people will start to rally behind him and he'll be our backup come week 1.

    C'mon Vince, keep it going man.

    Young did well. He really did. I'm positive my sizable wager in the sports book had something to do with it! :wink2: I'm not a gambler for the sake of the sad truth I seldom can pick a winner. It's really bad. I'm the jinx when it comes to that.

    The thing that concerned me on the negative side was that flip lateral to White. That was incredibly stupid. That could have gone for six the other way. I understand the snap was poor but for crying out loud, "fall on it!" :irked: I liked the down field pass that hit Britt. I was glad to see that VY could hit a wide open Britt in the end zone. He will never have an easier TD pass than that.

    As for the poll and the performances... Ramsey was mediocre-ish. Vince was much improved... It's 1 up and the competition is wide open.

    Kerry Collins is gold despite his abysmal performance. He hasn't anything to worry about. I was disappointed to see him struggle.
