Dennis Dixon

I really would have liked for us to draft Nixon. I thought he was a great value.

 

Trust me guys I have been a VY supporter threw when he got here, the bad year, the really bad year, and even threw the break down... But after watching last nights game and seeing the back up QB's that BOTH teams had its really made me rethink vince alittle more.. To see Matt Lienhart (or however you spell it) go in there and just take controll of the team and manage them down field was just awesome.. I looked to my brother and was like this guy is going to be much better than Vince..

I know I know, First preseason game still plenty of game to play. But, by watching the two side by side on both of thier first games you can just see more poise and more overall controll for Matt. I am not saying we should have drafted him at all I am just saying that he had MUCH better showing then vince I thought.. and then to see the Steelers 3rd string QB dennis dixon to come in... That was the final candle on the cake for me.. That guy is a prodotypical running quarter back but stood in the pocket.. made great accurate throws, dident stress out, if his first option wasent there he dident tuck it and "try" to run he Oh my Goodness he actually looked for his second check down...

I dont know as of right now I am pretty discouraged about BOTH of our back up QB's and personally I would have liked to see the Titans pull the trigger on Vick but sense our fans already sell all their tickets any way to opposing teams I am sure bringing a "dog killer" into Nashville wouldent have helped that.. O well..

 

I'd probably rather have Leinart right now than VY. In Dingers system and with a solid running game he could be effective.

 

On the other hand, our third string QB is much better than Brian St. Pierre. That guy is awful.

 

Dixon did nothing last year but learn. That time is critical for rookie QB's. Just compare Young now to Dixon now and its apparent that QB's need to sit to be at their best.

 

VY had a whole year to sit out and learn last year and he still sucked it up and dident show half of what Dixon did..

 

Our punter did it better.

 

Dixon completed 52% of his passes and Vince completed 50%. It's true....Dixon is much better than Vince
