Kerry Collins 10 Pass attempts

Hard to believe you're not biased when you just 'forget' about the TD he threw...Also hard to believe you're not biased when your first post ends with KC>VY. It's called 'threading the needle' when KC throws into coverage, but it's called 'moron QB, he sucks, derka derka, muhammad jihad' when VY throws into coverage. Right...

 

By the standards of the new league rules that would have been an illegal tackle. IDK if I agree with it, but the tackler must be on his feet when he delivers the hit on a QB.

 

Collins had two bad passes, the one that was almost intercepted and the overthrow. Scaife should have caught the pass to him, it was catchable just the same as Young's pass to White.

Regarding YAC,the only plays with YAC were the screen, the bootleg and the two crossing patterns by Crumpler. On the screen and bootleg it has little to nothing to do with the QB, rather the blocking and speed of the receiver. On the passes to Crumpler they were spot on to allow him to keep running though.

 

Kerry actually took a shot or 2 for 20 yards. Something Vince doesn't try often, nor does he have the luck to complete them if he does.

 

Kerry completed 40% more passes for more than double the yardage.


I don't mind the analysis and let's see what happens but it seems to me that some posters want a QB controversy. We are a super bowl team!

 

The INT he threw against the Ravens sucked BUT.. it was like 3rd or 4th down and they caught it like at the 10-15 and it was better than what a punt would have done that is a non-issue..

 

Kerry was 3/4 on 3rd down with each completion resulting in a first down.

I believe Vince was 1/6 on third down.

Converting 3rd downs and keeping the chains moving, that's the sh*t.

Three and outs suck.

 

Yeah, I'm beginning to think that his parents were siblings. Same for Deuce.

 

With 1 less TD pass (which means 0).

All that said, I feel that Vince is improving. Whether or not he'll be back where he was remains to be seen.
However, I'm thoroughly content and happy with Collins at the helm.
I'm really not going to worry about it anymore as this TEAM isn't comprised of just one player. We'll need all 22 guys on the field contributing with full-throttle intensity to win, not just one QB.
This team is setup to where the QB doesn't have to carry it. They just have to manage the offense and game.
