I analyze things. It's what I do. Ask me about vehicles and I'll tell you what I don't like about MY VERY OWN. While I obviously like it enough, since I bought it, I still note the cons.
This is what fair observational people do. This creates progress in most situations.

Thankfully, believe it or not- our Titans staff makes the same analyzations that I do. They wont say what they truly think to reporters, but we all know they know the weaknesses and strengths of all players.

Thus the reason we're not going to see Reynaldo Hill anymore, and we also wont see CJ lining up for many goal-line situations. It helps the team to note the flaws.
Who knows- maybe CJ realizes it if someone points it out, and he bulks up next offseason and begins punishing DBs when they try tackling him? You never know.

When did I call him worthless? lol I even used the word "great" to describe him, which is something I rarely do.

lmao @ CJ being almost impossible to tackle up high. HAHAHAHA maybe for a punter.

Again...I called CJ a bust when?

Great. I guess when Fisher kept taking up for Reynaldo Hill you believed that too, right?

Do you and me both a favor and search for "Fisherspeak" in the forum search. Learn what it is, and the signs. Then people may not laugh at you when you believe every word of it.

That's what coaches do. They try to lift their players up. Especially if it's a mentally unstable player like Vince that proves he can't handle criticism.

But see this is what I see as the point tho.. We do not want CJ to beef up... That is why we run a double headed snake run game... We have White for that.. its differently for Adrian Peterson he is the only one that does the running.. but did being bigger help him when we played them last time?.. I am pretty sure he did not even rush over 100 yards on us.. did being bigger help Willie Parker when we played the steelers last year?? or Jone Drew.. i could go on and on..

Now taking that in.. I undertand we had one if not the best run stoping D's in the league but what I believe is CJ is were he needs to be at size and strength and Lendell is were he needs to be.. The league a 2 back league now and teams like the Jaguars will learn that this year.... You have a Power and you have a Speed.. its just where NFL is at now.. That could change in 5-10 years but as of Now we have the Cobination that wins games ( running wise).

Well, Adrian Peterson is fragile anyway. That's what kept him from taking the spotlight from Reggie Bush- being inactive. (college) So beefing up wouldn't really do much for him considering he has a lot of leg problems.

Willie Parker same story. Injuries made it hard to tell if it'd suit him or not. But Parker even when smaller would hit DBs in the mouth and deliver punishment for the tackler. Same with Adrian.

CJ doesn't have to get completely jacked up or anything, but he does need some more pounds. He gets knocked around like he's Desean Jackson, and he runs high so it's risky for him to be so small.

Johnson is fast enough to where gaining some muscle won't hurt him a bit. It could even give him more burst.

I Respect what you are saying but...

If the Titans (Jeff, and Mike) thought Chris Johnson needed to get bigger I am sure he would be bigger right now. The obviously are happy were he is at.. Now at the end of the year once we see his production lets have this conversation again.. But as of right now it being PRESEASON I think it is a little early to say he needs to gain muscle because he cant "break" tackles..

This the player that offensively pretty much took us to the playoffs and he is more expereinced this year than last year so you have to be excited about what he is going to do.

And for the HOF game.. any back and I mean any back would have been stuck behind the line on some of those plays.. it was just good rushes and stacking the Box.. and once the coachs figured it out they adjusted and CJ got one to the outside for a big gain "almost a touchdown"..

That is the Big problem with these Preseason games the starters are never in there long enough to get into a groove and when they do their series are over and its time for the 2nd stringers to go in.. Cj was just getting into his groove with that first Big run then they took him out and put Lendell in for the Goal line stuff..

I almost want to guarentee that if he was in on the next drive after that he would have have some pretty good stats..

You said he sucks unless he has a 5 ft hole to hit. Even running backs who suck could hit a 5 ft hole and get some good yards. So basically you are saying he sucks.

From you analysis you say he can't break tackles, doesn't have good vision, can't make people miss, and can't catch. Sounds to me like you are saying he sucks in general. Yeah you said he is fast, that's the only compliment you have given him, well Usain Bolt is fast but there's a reason he's not an NFL running back.

I actually remember hearing that he put on 10 lbs this offseason. I can't find any articles talking about it - but I remember hearing a radio report saying he had added just a little bulk for this season. If that's true, then apparently the Titans also felt like he would benefit from a few more pounds.

I almost agree with you on your other points - CJ is all about speed, and that's ok. In heavy traffic Lendale can lower his pads and push through arm tackles to get 2 or 3 yards. CJ is likely to bounce it outside instead, and if he can't he generally doesn't get much.

I disagree that he needs a "big hole". I was impressed with how he worked inside last year - often taking a small seam and just taking the right angle with a ton of acceleration... by the time a lineman got his hands on CJ it was often a little too late. But for example - Lendale's TD this Sunday - CJ probably wouldn't have scored. LW had to ride the back of Amano a little bit, and then push for the final yard.

Hey buddy, while you are up on that VY soapbox you might want to now learn that his name is Lendale, not Lindell. It isn't even pronounced the way you spell it. New to the Titans, Lone Star stater?

Well yeah, you're right about that. I shouldn't say he needs a BIG hole. He's pretty good at getting to the LBs quick with a small gap.

If he runs like he did in the Ravens game every game, I'd retract everything about saying he doesn't make people miss much or break tackles. He ran flawlessly that game til getting injured.

A lot of times when people do miss it's because they took the wrong angle not being aware of his speed. Can't discredit him for that either. It's deceptive and hilarious to see people that know he's fast STILL take the bad angle every time.
