Nice hotel if it's the one downtown. I've stayed there. They pride themselves on their mattresses......really comfy. Nice lobby. Morton's steak house is on the premises. It's only a few blocks from 2nd street and Broadway, which is where all the action is. You can actually walk to LP field if you have comfy shoes.....it's about a mile downhill.......but a mile uphill to get back.

the Sheraton Music City is off Briley Parkway / Elm Hill Pk / McGavock in Century City ....... you would need VERY comfy shoes to walk to the stadium from there
you can see the hotel on I-40 around the Airport, it's almost directly in the flight path of one of the landing strips

I'm surprised noone has mentioned the (Gaylord) Opryland Hotel yet. not as nice as The Hermitage, but a very nice hotel and one of the largest in the region, with plenty to do inside.

Yep, your right. I was thinking of the Sheraton Downtown. Definitely not within walking distance..... for sure. Near the Sheraton MC there is a Marriott, Embassy Stes, Holiday Inn Select and a ton of others if you need other choices. Not too many good restaurants, but it's about a 15 minute cruise into downtown or you can even head up to Opry Mills where the famous McNair Dave & Busters is located.

    Vandy to LP Field

I may be in Nashville next weekend staying near VU. If so, I was going to get tickets to the Titans/Bills game. I'm not familiar with the area. What is the best way to get from VU to LP Field? Is it walking distance? When the game is over, I have to head west on 40 toward Memphis, so I was thinking of parking on that side of the river. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's not walking distance from Vandy but call your hotel and see if they run a shuttle. Parking near the stadium is in the $15-$25 range depending on how much you're willing to walk.

From Vandy, it's a straight shot down Broadway to the west side of the river where you can park and walk across the pedestrian bridge. I'm sure you'll see a lot of signs for parking a block or two off lower Broad. That side also has all the bars and restaurants for pregame festivities.

I used to stay at the Hilton near Brentwood. Priceline used to throw me there every time... used to. Nice place, great breakfast!
