I get it that most murder-suicides are done by men. That's really all that those links say. You may hope that they rule out double homicide before declaring murder-suicide. I guess my response would be that who wouldn't hope that. I hope and expect that the police investigation will go to all necessary lengths to figure out what happened, will consider all possibilities with an open mind, and not rule anything out until they have solid evidence to support them. However, I don't think we have any control over that, and I don't think that we have very much of information that they do, so I think it's kind of strange to speculate on them ruling out anything. As far as the discussion on this board goes, I think it's perfectly acceptable, with our limited knowledge, to say that it's probably more likely that it was a murder-suicide at this point. There are several other decent possibilities, but from the info we've been given, that's the most common sense scenario (not that any scenario ending in two people dead is really common sense).

I know this is a bit of a strange series of posts, but I guess I'm doing it because I don't get yours. To me, it's like you're saying "I hope that the forensic analyst will make sure to check for the appropriate evidence." My feeling on it would be "why wouldn't they? Why is that really that relevant to whatever discussion we're having here?" We're just discussing what we think is probable based on the various different pieces of information that we're getting, really without knowing much solid background. In contrast, the police will have a much larger set of information to work off of. Comparing their processes to our discussions on here are a little comical.

^^ We are all speculating on the the criminal discussion. I've worked with forensic pathologists before- some are really thorough, some are just punching the clock. Input equals output. I have no familiarity with Davidson County and the quality of work performed by their team. You don't even have to have a medical degree to be a coroner in many states. Some times the investigation stops when MOST pieces of evidence suppoort a particular conclusion because that is the easy way to reach closure.

Point is, the investigators are every bit as human as we are. Murder-suicides occur so rarely, especially female on male. This is absolutely an incredibly rare scenario- one I doubt many (if any) of the Davidson County team has dealt with before. Yes- the evidence as it continues to accrue suggests this is indeed a very rare female on male suicide. But the demographics are significant enough when coupled with a few other loose ends such as the internet postings and the strange timing, details and coincidence of the DUI, arresting officer and gun purchase to make me hope they are ruling out a double homocide fervently enough.

I am not trying to promote any crazy theory or idea other than the desire for the investigative team to make certain there evidence definitely rules out a double homocide before they conclude/declare this a murder-suicide because MOST of their evidence supports this.

I just read something that said the wound to Sahel was in the forehead, anyone know if this is correct? If it is, #1 I suspect that is a difficult thing to physically do, #2 as pointed out above as a phycological fact, women who commit violent suicide rarely shoot themselves in the head (much less forehead) because of vanity. Having worked in the EMS for several years in middle TN, most women who shoot themselves will do so in the chest/heart as to preserve the face. Also above someone mention the myspace pages, I myself know for a fact that what s said about Norfleets webpage is correct. The Jett guy's page I think is a little suspect.

Interesting link worth the read. States investigators are hesistant to rule Kazemi's death a suicide because of lack of apparent motive. Sounds like they are approaching this in a "rule out homocide" mode rather than a confirm suicide mode.

As they should, there I agree with you. I just think it's unlikely that a case like this (incredible national attention) would get someone's second best effort or second best personnel. Of course the coroners and police aren't perfect, but I'd say they are more likely to be thorough in this case due to the attention that it will get.

The link you just posted is just more good evidence that we don't need to worry about it from that perspective.

News channel 5 has obtained a video from the law offices across the street. Right now they are saying they do not see any suspicious activity, however report the video may be important for what it does not show. Police have requeste a copy for analysis.

Well.....since everything here is guessing and opinions...here ya' go:
-Thursday morning....."Wow! This girl is wild and I told her to play it cool."
-"Oh hell!" Now she has been arrested for DUI and the car is in my name. So much for laying low. I'll bail her out and I am done."
-Thursday... "Sorry. I am done. It is over."
    - Thursday... Woman scorned buys gun.
-Friday.... Avoid the hell out of her.
-Friday Night.... "No. I am sorry, but I said it was over!"
-Saturday morning.... "I told you it is over."
    then.........................

I've heard that one before and is one of my favorite quotes. haha. Another version by Charlie Harper of 2.5 Men is, 'Show me a beautiful woman, and I'll show you someone who is tired of listening to her incessant yakking in exchange for sex.'
My sides hurt for days after hearing that on an episode.
