this blog just made a post highlighting the general weakness of wide receiver position in titan history (not franchise history, just the years we've been in TN and called the titans). needless to say all ten on the list were not as elite of players as one would have hoped.

    numbers 6-10

hopefully our additions this offseason will help to remedy this list's weakness.

Just titan history...other than derrick mason and wycheck, this list might be a little painful

Edit: didn't see the link showing the entire list. That being said, even though it's just WRs, wycheck should be on there b/c he did more pass-catching wise than almost everyone on that list (save mason maybe)

Never on any list or discussion on WRs do they add TEs, no matter how good. In a list of TEs, Wycheck is obviously #1.

Come on, Roydell doesn't deserve to be on that list? 1000 yards and 6 TDs, even though it was over three seasons.

Heck, Bobby Wade even got 500 yards while on our team.

Competition for those last three or four spots is tight, even though all of the candidates are pretty pathetic.

Britt, Berlin, and Moulds shouldn't be on there. Someone just did that off the top of their head, and not well.

Hell, I could walk on to the practice squad and make the top 10 Titans WR list! :ha:

No, who am I kidding? Still, I agree that Wycheck should be on there!

GoTitans3801 - Could you really not tell the article was a joke and it was meant to be funny more than actually present an accurate top 10? He puts Gage #2 when by the stats Gage isn't close, he puts Sanders over Dyson just because he is mad at Dyson for not getting that yard in the Superbowl. As the dude said who posted this, Titansballa, it seems to be an article just pointing out the general weakness of the WR position for the Titans.

I definitely get the point, and I know that most of the stuff on tracsposse.com is generally joking. It could still be funny if it were more accurate. Really, it needed to go one way or the other, and either actually be funny (you know, put T-Rac, Dave Ball, or Pac Man's agent on the list), or make it representative, with a joke or two thrown in there.

I thought he was at least trying to be a little serious when he took out Calico in response to a comment.

Maybe it's just different senses of humor here, but I find including Eddie Berlin in a top WR's list a bit more funny than including Pacman's Agent.

Hey, no problems here. I'm fine agreeing to disagree. The article just didn't really strike much of a chord with me.
