My thoughts are that your style of writing drives me absolutely ape chit. You have absolutely no sentence structure and simply replace most typical forms of punctuation with a '....' It really takes away from the things you're actually posting in my opinion. And Mawae is fine, leave him alone. We don't need to be messing up our nearly impenetrable offensive line now...

hahha no worries buddy, gunner already got me for that. and damn i didnt know it pissed all you guys off so much.

and as for mawae, i will admit i was blit when i wrote this thread; my real intention with this thread was to point out that i didnt want to lose another versatile backup linemen.

infact, if i was sober as i am now, i would have probably made it a general thread about the titans' inability to retain good backup and letting them get away for contracts that seem more than easy to match.

sure don't throw all your bucks on one guy (i.e. big al), but we lost some good backup over the years for money that we should have paid. but no worries, im not gonna document each one; its already been talked and debated about too much.

I would rather have him than trade him,Harris made some mistakes in the baltimore loss I know it was one game but still.Lets keep him one more year then sign him as a Oline Coach

We have a huge number of veteran players who are in a contract year and with the one exception of harper do not have a ring. That has to be a huge asset for us. Crumpler-kearse-mawae-bulluck are at a point in their careers where they should be supremely motivated and want that championship. You can say the same thing about kerry collins despite the new new contract.

That vet leadership should be a big plus in the playoffs it was not last year but i do think it matters. I want that leadership there.

I'm sure kerry wants mawae there.

Mawae was the first worthy lineman we've had since Matthews retired. I was ecstatic when the Titans landed Mawae a few years back. Him leaving takes away the fierce edge our line has among the league. Mawae is the type of player a team wants to have on their side. His attitude makes him better, which rubs off on guys. I cant get excited about a Tennessee line without Mawae on it. Until he retires I'd like him to stick around.

Mawea is old and on the back side of a great career. He has zero trade value. If he were released some team desperate for an OC because of injury or something might pick him up but he has ZERO trade value.

As for the Titans Mawea is still a big asset. He is a leader on the team. He gives the team maturity and character. Bottom line, Mawea is worth much more to us than he is to someone else which makes trading him ridiculous.

    As for this comment:
Because of our young bookend OTs Loper had to win his starting spot at OG and he was beat out by Amano. Loper basically had to leave to get a chance to start in the near future and there wasn't much the Titans could do about it.

Harris on the other hand is going to be poised to win the job over Amano or take over for Mawea but either way his chances of starting are better than Loper's were so IMO we don't have to trade Mawea to keep Harris. We just need to let nature take it's course.

we already have one of the best o line coaches in the nfl, let him play one more year and thank him for his services. he is a great human being and i would love to sit and talk about life with him, but give him a few years in retirement before we offer him a coaching job, he deserves that i think.

No. Mawae is the O-Line leader. A great person. Tennessee would not trade him, we'd maybe get a 4th rounder. Let his contract expire and let him retire. Then ol LeRoy can take over.
