i don't see why any team wouldn't sign plax. he's not a criminal, he was just being stupid. just because he is a professional football player doesn't mean he can't be human for a night. plax, britt, washington and cook at te. even vince young would be good with those weapons

I think the Titans would be more prone to sign a CB. But I don't see any of those guys willing to take a backup role this early because they know they only have one more payday and they won't get it if they can't show their skills by sitting a bench.

In a couple of months, their options diminish.

I agree with you all about Plax, but I have a feeling that the FO will not even look at him because of that incident. Granted it was out of a sheer lapse of intelligence, after the Pacman debacle, I don't think our FO is very tolerant/receptive of any character issues.

Well the add is him standing there with two hot women and its just another viagra type pill.

He had no idea that was on the article. It was pretty funny during the interview. Similarly, I thought it was hilarious that he just woke up out of bed, the beginning of the interview was great. And I pretty much agreed with what he said about Michael Phelps and Jay Cutler. Oh and "that's what's great about being a Chicago QB, all the free drinks." And the last line regarding the MVP of the bedroom ad was classic!

My opinion as well. Maybe it's not one of these name guys. But we need someone better than Faggins as a backup.

Signing Plexico will never happen because it makes little sense for a number of reasons. The character issue speaks for itself, agree? Secondly, he will be 32 years old this year and has very little serviceable time left in the NFL, IMO.
He was having a sub par year in 2008 even before shooting himself. Even if he does round back into shape as an effective receiver he would disrupt the rotation of Gage, Washington and Britt, and if he's not in the main rotation he won't be happy. I agree with TJ that secondary help makes more sense, but will be happy if we stand pat going into camp. There are always rookie surprises, and I expect this year to be no different.

I wouldn't really mind signing Plaxico, but it shouldn't be a goal, at all. I've said it all along that we should go after a corner... Chris McAlister or Patrick Surtain (assuming they'd be willing to spend a majority of time at the #3 spot).

Why do we need to do that? Vincent Fuller is an excellent nickel back and he already knows the system, plus the Titans just gave him a new contract. He can't play on the outside so if he doesn't play Nickel then we signed him for nothing. Nickel is the last concern on the front office's mind. We need a 3rd guy for the outside which means if we got McAlister or Surtain, neither one of them would even see the field unless Harper or Finnegan got hurt.

Well, you just said it right there...

I think we all know that Nick Harper is going to be injury prone. The guy is 34 years old. He's probably only going to play 10-11 games. I really don't like our situation at corner right now. I really hope Ryan Mouton can step up and add to our much needed depth.

Vincent Fuller played the first half of the season at the #4 spot behind Eric King. If that needs to happen again, so be it. I'm all for it. I like Vincent Fuller, but we can do better.
