I bet Britt will become better than Percy Harvin and Crabtree.

I honestly see all 3 of these guys having really solid careers. Harvin and Britt will play on better teams, but Crabtree will get more touches.

To say that Crabtree is overrated is not very accurate at all. Sure, I will admit that QBs' #s are a bit inflated here at Tech but WRs, no. Especially not Crabtree. We could all see that he was special in his first game. This kid is special. He didn't win the Biletnikoff twice because he was in a pass happy offense. He won it because he is the best WR in the country.

i love the britt pick. way to go front office. i'm not saying he's going to pan out right away but he's going to scare some corners with his size and speed once he gets the offense down. plus, the kid is only 20 years old. i think he'll have a better career than crabtree and harvin just because the titans will be a better team than the niners and the vikings. our LT and RT are only 26 years old and we've locked them down for life, hopefully.

    1. Did you just compare Percy Harvin to Randy Moss?...

Please edit that. Please, because it's hard to even respond with a straight face. Randy Moss was clearly a WIDE RECEIVER. A 6'4 wide receiver.
Did you seriously just compare Percy 'all I've got is speed' Harvin to a perfect combination of size/speed?

    2. Again with terrible comparisons. Boldin doesn't run 4.7. He's faster than that, and he has a much better build than Crabtree. And yes, he is pretty much a possession receiver. He's not a deep threat and though he can break tackles (something Crabtree doesnt do) he isn't much of a threat to catch and run for a lot of yards.

And ask people Crabtree toasted? Hmmmm...

Who plays corner for Southern Methodist? Nevada? Kansas State? UTEP? Rice? Oklahoma State? Northwestern State?

Take off the high schools that he buttered his stats with, and he's really not THAT impressive, is he?

I laugh at all these guys mocking Crabtree. It's one thing to drop him down because of the system or maybe even his foot, but please don't scoff at the kid's attitude, toughness or heart. Sliding in the draft was all the motivation he needed.......well, that and being called a diva by a guy who got postured by Brett Favre last year and talks higher than Mike Tyson. Win some games Fag-gini.

REALLY? With all talk dinger is doing about "not having a #3 WR and the need for more depth at WR" I'm pretty sure they drafted Britt to start at the #3.

Not to mention Fisher said they wanted to use him right away and they felt his transition to the NFL would be easy because he could get out of bump and run already which is something Maclin and Harvin are going to have to learn to do.

Britt will make an impact immediately. If Britt can establish himself as a threat see CJ get closer to that MVP this year and see Titans in the Superbowl this year.

I wish people would get off the whole "him dropping will be motivation". He dropped to OMG OMG!...Pick #10. lol
If that's enough for motivation, every other receiver is going to do GREAT!

He was passed by a single team. A team that sucks drafting anyway. Who cares? His salary should be all the motivation he needs.

And again, I was/am a Crabtree fan. I hope he does well. But there are many reasons to think he wont do well in the NFL. We'll see...

    Deuce...try again...

It doesn't matter what you think of Harvin...answer these simple questions...

Did you think the Titans should or should NOT have drafted Randy Moss? Why or why not?

And just to correct you FACTUALLY...Anquan Boldin ran a 4.72 40 at his combine. THAT is why he fell into round 2 (that and his other cod measurables and vertical). So I have given you indisputable PROOF that there is one star WR in the NFL with 4.7 speed. And typically, Possession WR's don't have 1200, 1300 or 1400yd seasons nor catch 79yd TD passes. He's a possession WR who has a lot of YAC because he's so strong and physical. Crabtree is similarly physical. And perhaps you didn't notice the big play Boldin made in the Super Bowl running an intermediate route down the middle, catching the ball and racing to the sidelines for a big passing play with a lot of yac yards...

Boldin coming into the league was 6' and a 1/2 and 215. Crabtree is 6'1 1/2 and 215. Where's the much better build?

And what are your many reasons why Crabtree won't succeed in the NFL? He didn't play USC's defense every week? And who were there cb's?

No mention of whom britt competed against?

The big east had 6 CBs drafted this year. A pitt CB who was a 2nd team all big east was not in the draft.

There was one safety drafted from the big east.

Take away mccourtney and the safety who was also from rutgers that's at least 6 players he had to play against who were of high quality enough to be drafted or ranked all conference. Might be more i didn't look up the teams outside the conference.
