09' Draft Thread

I think we picked up a speed reciever with Washington... plus he has expierience... I like the TE Cook.. I do not think that Crumpler will play for much longer, and have Cook and Scaife together looks solid... I like the CB from Hawaii, he provides more depth and could play nickel this year possibly... Don't really know the ILB but looks pretty beast mode..

And is it ironic that Chicago got another Vanderbilt player in Moore if they draft Langford or Hamilton later on then they are in infatuated love with Vanderbilt players... Every Vandy player in the NFL is on the Bears roster right now!!!

 

Surely we're going to trade up here at some point. We don't need 11 rooks..and we still have 5 picks...only 2 of them are able to be traded though.

 

Maybe now is the time to go after Bomar. I think he might be a good QB to go after.

 

What about Duke Robinson?

 

Crap. jags just got Dillard from Rice. I really liked him.

 

If we draft a CB is should be Bruce Johnson. Cant argue with players from big schools imo. Same goes for Marcus Freeeman from OSU.

 

Mickens is intriguing. Has injury issues and couldn't work out at the combine but has real nice size, speed and ball skills. First team all big east last two years and 2nd team the two years before. WOuld have been a high pick if not for the injury and is worth the risk IMO.

And bomar is off the board to the Giants...darn.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we took a flier on Domonique Johnson from Jackson State with one of our 6th rounders. A lot of upside just like we like em.

 

Well I dont watch any college football but I try and keep in the mix a bit. I dont think we are finished taking CBs though.

 

Mickens is 6 ft tall and is one of the better CBs in the country. He had a torn meniscus late in the season and had to pull out of the senior bowl because of his knee. Still, this kid is one of the better CBs coming out if not for the knee injury so unless this is a career damaging injury we should jump on the kid in the 5th with Bomar gone.
