Time will tell it wasn't exactly the WR I was looking for, but hopefully it will be the new #1

The former sounds a little over pessimistic. :brow:

The answer to the thread is yes he's been the WR we've been needing because now everyone can get off our backs about drafting a good WR.

I guess I'm missing the point of debating over who should be #1, but I'd say who ever gets open the most will get the ball thrown to them the most, regardless if they play in the slot or outside.

I'm no NFL QB, but I don't think if they see the #3 guy get open 1st, they think to themselves, "I better make sure #1 & #2 aren't open too". If you're open, you're open.

Now granted most passing plays use a check down system, but each WR has certain plays designed for them, so who might be the #3 guy on other plays could be the go to guy on others.

I think the question is, who will be the most electrifying WR?

I think by seasons end, Britt will be a big piece to our offense, but it is going to take some time for him to be the go to guy on most of our plays.

Anyway, we should be happy. How long have we as fans been b*tching about our FO addressing this position. We should be pretty ecstatic. We picked up Washington, who should be coming into his own soon now that he has a chance to be more than a Steelers back up. We drafted Britt who is a physical freak and looks like the 2nd coming of TO, IMO. And we all know Gage is reliable enough.

Add a heavy dose of CJ, and our offense will be fun to watch this season!

If this were any other receiver, I could see him being slowly phased into the offense, as Fisher as often done with rookies in the past. But Kenny Britt is exceptionally good at the one thing that Jeff Fisher demands from wide receivers: run blocking. I really love this pick because he's a receiver who isn't scared of contact. If you haven't done it yet, check out some of the youtube videos of his crack-back block, or the receiver he nailed while playing safety. Britt is going to see the field a lot more than usual because he will block, and thats what Jeff Fisher wants.

It will be Gage #1; Washington #2; Britt #3; and Hawkins will be subbing in.

What?? The Colts' O-line sucked last year. One of the worst run games in the league, with 2 decent RBs. Ugoh was almost a first rd. pick, the colts first pick a few years ago,and he got benched for a stretch. I like drafting OL, but not as a first rounder, where a lot of great skill comes from in the skill positions.

    Ask the Raiders, Robert Gallery.

    Edit:
FA is the way to build O-lines. You know guys are good coming out in Free Agency. And probably cheaper than a 1st round pick.
