Kinda like the Packers site poll but from a Titans fan. I was just wondering where the fans priority is most distributed. If there are any selections not on the poll, still, let me know. I am interested.
It's a good list. Not much I would add. I went with Britt, cuz I don't think Matthews is there. I could go with either Smith, but I think the Titans are pretty adept at finding talent (especially since Fisher, Reinfeldt and Cecil were all DBs) so unless a CB pick at 30 is "the guy" and it's unanimous with them, I think they'll wait on corner. I take Britt as an all around decent WR. I would just take Mack, myself, and let the rest of the board fall as it may.
I went Mathews, but if the Titans actually go with "best player available" you have to take Mack, who could potentially be that perennial all-pro C, not to mention it would SO piss off The Steelers who want him badly...
I went with mack because in my opinion he is probably the best availible player out of the bunch. Sounds like we want Eugene Amano to replace Kevin Mawae in the long term but if we were to get mack then we could train him beheind Mawae and Amano can stay at his natural position as guard
I remember last year I was pissed when Pittsburgh took Mendenhall and Sweed one pick ahead of us in rounds one and two. I guess it worked out for us though.
I put Clay Mathews because there is a possibility he falls. A slight possibility, but still a possibility. Of course Alphonso Smith was my selection because CB is our most current need and I grade Smith and Mathews as somewhat equal. I like C as well but I believe Eric Wood is just as good as the top two just less versatile and that we could land him in the 2nd. We already have versatilty with Amano and Harris. Harris could kick over to LG if we lose Amano and Wood could take over at C. However if there's a chance to trade some of our 10 draft picks to move up and get Robiskie I may consider it depending on the cost. I have to say I like the results. I would really like to draft either Smith or Mathews but if neither one is available I would probably look C. I think that is where the most value is. I really don't believe in drafting WR's, early on at least. I think if we want a good WR to go get a proven guy in free agency. I mean you spend the same money on the two anyway. Why not get a proven guy? I was hoping we would sign Houshmandzadeh this offseason. We had that cap room to do it especially knowing we were going to lose Haynesworth. I guess we'll see what Washington can do for us.
