I voted for Mickens not knowing who you took in rnd 1. Were any DE's available outside of Kruger? DT's?

The best players on your list not CB's are Britt (WR), Coffman (TE), Freeman (OLB), or Kruger DE. I would guess there is probably another DE or 2 who might be intriguing and might offer more value. Same with DT.

Here's the thing...this pick would somewhat depend on what you think the Titans will do with a few players. If they let Bulluck walk after this season...you take Freeman. If we let KVB go, you take the best DE. If we are gonna let Crump AND Scaife go, you take Coffman or the best TE available. Another possibility here would be Ramses Barden at WR (if available).

    BTW, what RB's are available?

  2. I don't know who we took in round 1, but it would have to be either Moore or Britt. I picked Moore, but it could go either way.

We took Alphonso Smith in RD1
    (its in another post)

15 minutes till I pick Britt,

    talk me out of it.

edit- You don't have to talk me out of it.
I'm an idiot, Britt was taken earlier!!!

In an unusual move,I'm gonna pick another DB.

The Titans pick DJ Moore CB Vanderbilt.

    Go Titans!!

I took a WR in round two and passed on Moore only because I think our first rounder will be a CB.

I went Fili Moala DT USC. If we took Smith in the 1st and this guy is there in the 2nd we'd have to take him. He's gonna turn out like Haloti Ngata of the Baltimore. Gotta go defense here.

My responses to Gut and Big Time Titan messages:

Gut, Deon Butler, WR, Penn State

Gut, Coffman is terrible. He has no hip movement (agility) whatsoever. He also lacks blocking ability. If we were to go TE I like I guy to replace Bo Scaife and his talents in the passing game since we already have a blocker in Stevens. Ideally I would keep Scaife.

Big Time Titan, Haloti Ngata - 6'4", 345 lbs
    Fili Moala - 6'4", 305 lbs

Other than there relationship (cousins), these guys are nothing alike ... yet. I hear he has room for extra weight. With that said I like Fili in the second given none of the top 3 centers are left.

Moala was taken in Rd 2 by the Giants.
Not real happy with WR at this point.

    Ah...

    Sorry...misread it.

Can you possibly list the players taken in rnds one and two or provide a link to the mock where I can look over the players taken?

    Um...

Where do you get the idea that he is...

    ...terrible?

    ...has no agility?

    ...lacks blocking ability?

If Coffman wasn't hurt and hurt so much, he'd probably be a first rnd pick and knock Pettigrew to 2nd best TE.

As for being terrible? He led the NCAA with 90 catches for a TE...and that was with missing a game or two and playing hurt for at least one game. Expected because he played in a spread offense? Jeremy Maclin is on the same offense so it wasn't like Coffman was the #1 guy. And he had near 1000 yds. Without listing all his accolades...he's probably the best pass catching TE in college football.

No agility? While he didn't run in the combine or at a pro day due to being injured, at a campus test (previous pro day most likely) he had a cone drill time of 4.12. Granted this is hand timed but even if it was 4.22 it'd still be the BEST time for a TE at the combine. And you don't catch 90 passes if you have no agility. If he had no agility, he wouldn't be on the field in a spread offense.

As far as blocking, because they ran a spread, he frequently was split out a bit so he's used to blocking out of a WR stance...not lined up as much tight and in a 3 point stance as a classic TE. With his frame, he can bulk up and get stronger and learn how to block better from a 3 point stance while providing excellent pass catching value from the position. Think a slower Dustin Keller...or a Todd Heap.

He has had so many foot issues I wouldn't be surprised if he feel into rnd 3...but IF he's healthy, he's a first rnd talent.
