Noobie here.... Just wondering if there is any talk of maybe the Titans looking at Toomer or Burris. May be able to get Burris really cheap right now on a 1 year. To me Titans WR core is solid but needs that one big threat to open up the field. If I'm just dumb put me in my place but Holt isnt the only big name out there right now.

There hasn't been any talk of Toomer and Burress is more than likely going to jail. Even if he can somehow avoid missing playing time it's not the Titans MO to go after problem guys like him.

I doubt Toomer and I bet we haven't even given the slightest thought on Plaxico.

I'd say there's almost no chance we go after Burress at this point because of his legal troubles.

Hire Toomer as a receiver coach........not a player. Forget Plax, he's going to the big house for a few years.

I'd sign him right now, keep the rights to him, and wait to pay him until he gets out. He is an incredible receiver. You saw how the Giants fell apart without him.

    Burress? No. That's a Jerry Jones/Al Davis/Dan Snyder deal.

Toomer? He was just complaining about his role (or lack thereof) last year. He even went as far as to insinuate his lack of touches being a factor to why the Giants didn't end their season well. I know we're chasing a 33 year old Holt, but I doubt Toomer's desire to be a go to guy, stressing his touches at his age will attract this FO. It just isn't the place for diva receivers or locker room distractions.

I would have to say no to Plax and maybe to Toomer if we can't get Holt. Toomer would be an ok backup plan if Holt doesn't sign here. On a cheap 1-year deal though, nothing too expensive. I can understand why he would be mad about his touches last year. I mean guys like Hixon, Moss and even Steve Smith were given more touches than him and he's been a great WR over the years for NY.

would love to have a guy like burress w/o the off-the-field issues: great height, good hands, pretty good speed
no way we ever get him though

toomer is a definite no for me, would rather have holt, but feel like neither is the real answer that we need

Pass on both. Toomer wouldn't even be another Moulds b/c at least Moulds was good at one time.

i'd be surprised if Burress plays football next year... and possibly a couple after that. his lawyers have no leverage and while i don't think he'll serve the time a normal person would serve... he'll serve some. i'm just not sure how much.

Sign Holt and be done with it imo. He'll be the consistent possession guy that'll catch everything near him, be in the right spot and move the chains. Washington is the guy that'll push safeties deep. If you feel like being bold then try to work a trade for Chad but pass on both Burress and Toomer.
