Personally, I was hoping we'd take Leinart. Guess that hasn't worked out too well for the Cardinals either. LOL

 

Reese did the Jones thing but Bud was the one behind drafting Young. I don't think Bud lost his job over it?

Well...

Hasn't TO quit on a team (the 49ers) and destroyed 3 locker rooms...and yet, even at 36 and a zillion dropped passes...he's still worth 6.5mil a year?

There are examples of players quitting on their team, only to be welcomed back...even as THE team leader. Scottie Pippen comes to mind!

And players quitting on one team and being welcomed with open arms to another is not unusual. Rolle and Mason come to mind...

It's far from ideal...but it happens.

Well...

I'd give up picks #30 this year and #32 next year plus Collins for Cutler. I'd even throw in something else. We would be better off over the next 10 years if we could make a deal like that.

However, we don't NEED to make a deal for Cutler. We're not desparate...but if Collins struggles next year and VY isn't any better...all this we-don't-want-Cutler could backfire if he goes to the Jets and they knock us out of the playoffs.

Or worse...goes to the Jags or Texans!
