That's great that they're 'team' workouts, but they're doing nothing team related...nothing football related for that matter. Do these MEN have to hold each other's hand to get anything done? "Building team chemistry" is a crock. They practically live together from mid-July until January.

And the same build as LenDale my arse. At least Bo looks like he's lifted something heavier than a doughnut at some point in his life. I'm not saying Bo is Lou Ferigno or anything, but he certainly looks like he's put in more time at the gym.

LenDale's body, compared to other RBs, is an embarrassment to our franchise and S&C coach. Speaking of, is his fat arse in town doing overtime to make up for the past 3 years? Of course he is. :greedy:

I think his head's getting a bit big. Hell, if it weren't for our backup quarterback we would have never known his name.

There's a million reasons why Bo Scaife prefers a contract longer than 1 year.

There's a million and one reasons why the Titans won't make that committment yet.

We don't know any of those reasons.

Besides, he can't afford to hold out too long.

I think a chill pill is in order. Doctors orders!

This has no similarities to the Cutler soap-opera. Scaife wants a long term deal and is, as Loqitar10 posted, using the only leverage he has.

He's is not holding out until he starts missing mandatory stuff. As for calling it immature, I'd rather call is the business side of the sport and catering for your own interests. You might be ready to give him a long term deal but I'm not sure the Titans are ready to give him a 5 year 15 mil contract tbh.

For anyone that's curious, NFL.com has Scaife ranked 13th in yards. I think that's a better measure than receptions as it factors in YAC which is very important. With 58 receptions he's ranked 7th. Right there with Gates and Miller... but they have 704 and 778 yards respectively.

Bottom line, Scaife isn't a player that should be ducking voluntary team work outs. If his numbers were good enough for him to do that he'd probably get a long term contract.

Yep - Matt Cassel is the only player that I know that signed his franchise tag. Historically, the tenders are signed late. Remember last year? At least Bo isn't demanding a clause prohibiting the team from using the tag on him next year.

All these replies about Bo "holding out". Bo isn't holding out. He is not presently under contract until the tender is signed.

I can't blame him for needing to protect himself and his livelihood. Hopefully the team and his agent can reach a deal that is beneficial for both sides else he signs tender and reports for camp.

It does make me sad that Bo isn't there (because our guys are having a great turnout in these VOLUNTARY sessions) but it is a business.

If I were one inclined to gripe about players, I would be less inclined to gripe about Bo and this business decision then I would be to gripe about (for instance) Cutler and the circus that he has continued with the Broncos because either he wants more money (Bus Cook) or that his feelings are hurt because his new coach listened to a trade discussion.

EXTACTLY!, I think you are the only one that get's it! Thank you, very well stated. He deserves and has earned the right to a new and long term contract. I love Bo and wish him well. He has hired a personal trainer, so he is doing what he needs to do, now the MJ needs to do what's right.

Scaife is accomplishing what he wants in holding out (or threatening to). I'm sure both he and his agent realize there is no chance of the Titans offering a long term deal this season and there is a good chance that the Titans won't re-sign him next year. So, he has to get his name out there for other teams to take notice. What better way for a boring, little known player in a small market to get recognized than to threaten holding out? He'll be mentioned on ESPN with the likes of TO. I mean, how many 4+ page threads have there been on Bo Scaife? He's just thinking about his future. And I'm sure Fisher understands this and just laughed when he heard about it.
