Did the TOMB die?

I am only going to say one more thing about this: I am not defending the mods at either place, you don't like them here or there that is your perogative. I do however believe that Jeff is his own boss, maybe I am wrong, and thus gets to make his own decisions. Where the TOMB was owned by the Titans and the mods had to follow what they wanted done. That is all.

 

Yvette was the only mod there I had issues with. PBV and the others were otherwise stellar AFAIC. I'm even glad to see PBV here.

 

I knew this day was coming, but had hoped for a little more notice. I had lurked over there since 2005 or so. I became a member sometime around the beginning of 2007 and got a nice welcome and had fun conversing with most people over there. Some people went out of their way (someone who knows who they are mailed me a few items) to make me feel a part of the community.

I never minded the moderation because I know how to argue about topics without resorting to bashing people or spamming. That and the moderation kept a lot of the stupidity in check.

Hopefully, in time, I'll come to get used to this place and will find it as part of my daily routine like the TOMB was. No matter what I'll most likely post my thoughts here from time to time as well as the other board that is being created.

well, i feel that all of us TOMBERS need to give the folks on here a chance and i feel that the same needs to be done with us tombers to! its only fair! bashing us and always having negative things to say about us is not fair in anyway, and its not apperciated at all. we have come here to make friends, and have fun , that is all. personaly i like it here, but to all the TOMBERS just give it time. time heals all wounds.

I always found the TOMB a friendly place for the most part. I found that I liked a lot of the posters (and MODS too) even though we might disagree on various points. As far as Yvette, she on more than one occassion, made my day with a simple unselfish act of kindness.

I would like very much to think highly of the posters here. IMO there isn't or shouldn't be a need to attack a person for trying to do a tough and thankless job.

Wow I'm kind of surprised at all these negative views of the TOMB. I was there 2 years and never had any trouble or any run-ins with Mods. I guess I just know how to voice my opinion without bashing people or getting too upset. Maybe I'll start doing that here though since it is obviously more lenient.

 

Yeah I had recently joined TOMB half way through the season when i finally checked it out and never honestly thought to look for another forum until i found this one linked from someone on facebook.
