i agree with the possibility of signing TO 100%. if you look at him play, yes he drops some balls but more importantly he is just flat out good. real physical player.

he may be a little older but doesn't stop him from being better than most of the recievers in the league playing right now. and why wouldnt we take a shot when our pass offense is horrifingly terrible?

we have the defense leadership (Kieth Bullock, also more vets like Hope,) and offense we have the age-less Kevin Mawae. and if VY gets the starting job he is working hard to get, i think this can be a tremendous signing.

TO can only play on 1 side of the ball. His teams were consistently at the top of all top offensive categories while he was on board. I COULD AND DO care about individual production when it comes to the position of wide receiver.

One year deal $6M+ incentives structured this way.

    $4M SB.

    $2M salary.

    Incentive bonuses:

    70+ catches and or $1000 yards receiving=$1M

    Pro bowl=$1M

    Titans make playoffs=$1M

    Titans win afc=$1M

    Titans win super bowl $2M

If he makes all these incentives and we win the super bowl he would be damn worth $11M right?

First off, I am completely against T.O. becoming a Titan. His character issues outweigh any individual production he might bring. Plus, he is not the player that will take us to the next level - never has been the difference maker and never will.

However, if there were a reason for the FO to bring him in, it would be to increase popularity. You guys seem to think that he won't bring fans, guess who was #10 in jerseys sold last year... T.O. Whether or not you or I like him doesn't matter, he has a large fan base.

To Bud Adams, the Titans are a business. He wants to increase revenue. T.O. will do that. Now, I think the consequences are way too severe to get a quick buck. I just hope that Bud sees it that way, too.

I might be in the minority, but I think I would do that if I were MR (even though it makes me feel dirty to admit it).

Now, what if T.O. hits all those targets but the last two? And, through the course of the season T.O. creates turmoil within the locker room, pits defense against offense, provoking key FAs to walk in 2010. Is that worth the $9M we would have to pay him?

Of the two hypotheticals, which one is more likely? I think history is on my side.

For the same ****ing reason a guy wouldn't want to own a 1969 Jaguar E type V12 if he wanted a reliable daily driveable sports car; while they perform flawlessly when they run, they don't want to run very often and can be really difficult to keep tuned.
Do I need to 'splain that one further?

Thats a laughable statement. There's no way 10 TDs a year translates into anything other then bada$s. If they're not winning then its because of something else, you damn sure can't blame the guy whos scoring TD's like its going out of style. You don't think having TO would help us get wins in the playoffs? The Titans haven't seen a seven man front since 2003, TO would instantly change that, making Nate Washington, Lendale White and Chris Johnson all more explosive then they otherwise would be
