One reason to sign T.O.

The Jag fans are worried that we signed Nate, imagine if we got TO.

 

i am not flip floping here, i dont want owens here...but i did hear herm edwards say that fisher had a great relationship with TO. it was on nfl live yesterday. i dont know though...

 

On ESPN radio this morning, Mike and Mike went down a list of teams that they thought would be a good fit for Owens and they both agreed Tennessee would be the best fit

I didn't think you were. And to be honest, if TO curbed his 'I love me some me' -ness and got some humilty, I might like to see him on this team, but that would never happen.
Besides, just because Fish has a good relationship with TO doesnt' mean he'd let TO on the team. And even if he did, if he saw TO get up in Collins/Youngs face for an invalid reason, Fisher would probably bench him.

 

I agree with tuckfro in reverse. We should not sign TO because people will like us less. I loved watching the cowboys lose in part because of TO.

We don't need to sell tickets every game is a sell out anyway. And as a fan i could care less about selling jerseys. I do know this fisher and MR would never tolerate this guy getting into dinger's face like he did to the cowboy coaches.

I don't want his little fits. I don't want his little tantrums. I don't want a player who always blames others when the team loses.

The only case for TO is that wherever he has gone he has behaved himself for the most part in his first year and then was a total divisive arse the next year. So maybe with the coaching staff we have and with a vet QB like kerry TO could, maybe, perhaps shut his mouth enough to help us get to the super bowl. One year contract only!

 

Out of all the teams the Titans make the best Fit IMO

1.We have a good passing Vet QB

2.We need a #1 WR

3.Fisher is on good terms with TO personally

4.We are a winning Team

5. When not passing ,we can run. TO wouldnt get the work load.

6.Mike likes to pass the ball

7. We have the Money

8. We gave Pacman a shot coming out of College knowing he had issues.

9. We are a great WR away from the Superbowl.

10. We can always cut him and be ok.

 

Hey we should sign him. Vince and he could talk about the time everybody said they were suicidal.

 

I had to think about this one a bit... I know a lot of people think TO is done, too many drops, etc... but he has been productive. Yea, he's getting old but we haven't really seen the numbers drop off yet. As a receiver he might help us.

But if he did help he can't have more than a year or 2 left in him, and we need a longer-term solution. We know he'll be somewhat of a distraction - he has been all of his career, and we all saw what Pacman did to the locker room. I also think he'd absolutely hate it in TN - both on a run-obsessed team, and as a place to live. The downsides outweigh the upside to me. Trade for Boldin or something like that.

 

how am i flip floppin??? i said i dont want him on the team...i was just relaying something i heard from a tv show?

 

This is going to be a serious problem considering we run first pass second
