yeah, for real... the Redskins... argh... let me put it this way... if you played the "Redskins" at Madden (this is a personification)... not played "as" the Redskins... but if you and Snyder sat down and played Madden... Snyder would go 4 wide, single back, verticle EVERY play... and most of the time that dime zone, rushing four would shut him down... also, he would never punt... or win for that matter.

I don't know about "most" but a need is a need. There is intangible value in what a player can contribute to our team in some of those first wave FA's.

Slamma, I agree with a lot of the stuff you post, but that is just garbage.

You have to draw a line somewhere. Reportedly the Titans offered about $35m in guaranteed money and $11m a season. That's more than the Jared Allen contract that everyone was talking about as a benchmark.

I would have loved to keep AH here. He was a beast for the last two seasons. But at some point he stops being value for money. We have the best D-Line coach in the league, and we still have some excellent talent on our defensive line.

Haynesworth leaving is a huge hole, but I have no problem with us drawing a line, and if someone else offered more, you have to let him walk.

Exactly, he may have some good games in the first part of the season but if he's not there in the playoffs we don't need him.

When you're a struggling team outside of the playoffs it's not that difficult to retain your core group of players together.

As a team gets more successful each years round of contract renewals gets tougher as your players feel they warrant a bigger deal and other teams have taken more note of your FA.

It's a balancing act. A team can only pay 4-6 guys big money and hope that they find replacement talent through the draft for the players who you can't afford to keep.

I'd only pay the kind of money Albert's got to a QB comparable to Montana,Steve Young,Brady,Brees,Manning etc.

It's nuts and no matter how they've found the money right now that deal will shackle them for years.

As soon as they get any success in Washington,(if they do),their existing players will want to get paid too and that's when it will all fall apart.

Congratulations Big Al on getting the big money..

Now that you've signed the fat contract you were looking for, feel free to give up the act.. relax, roll over and play dead.

Yeah he did us a favor by leaving. Maybe he really does like this team. He didn't want to lay down on us anymore.
