Your not going to replace AL my friend, there maybe 1-2 players in this league that probably could come close to his production but their locked up on other teams. We're going to have to have a group effort and a solid rotation to compensate for AL's absence. Relax people,we're not even halfway through the first day of FA..

It's a great idea and he fits our system perfectly. Can also be a strong side end on run downs.

I am all for it but he won't be 30% of the price more like 50%. We are looking at a similar deal to what odom got last year. $6M or so a year.

He fills AH role 75-80%. He will also knock a lot of passes inside.

So don't sign a good player because he is not equal to AH? Albert is gone!

I have always believed that 3-4 ends are the perfect fit in our system to play inside. They are 300 lb guys who can move. Ty warren, aaron smith and certainly richard seymour could easily step in and play well in our system as DT.

Canty is like that and he is young with most of his career ahead of him. the only issue would be if he didn't want to be a DT. If he has some fantasy about being a 4-3 pass rushing end or something.

Canty is a must get. Sign him......this was one of parcells favorite players in dallas he can play tackle or end and he is versatile. Young with size and upside the fact he can play end or tackle is hard to find!

I'm now imagining us with canty and then drafting micheal johnson and having 2 6'7" guys up front. I'm sure QBs in our division would love that..

No,what i'm saying is your going to have to sign a bunch of second tier guys and hope they can make an impact on the line much like Ball and Ford did.

Canty is a very good player... He's not Albert of the past two seasons, but I'm not so sure that the Washington Redskin's Albert is going to be the Albert of the past two seasons either! Canty would be a great fit here, and I would think it would be a welcome change from his 3-4 end that he was playing at Dallas. Give him a year under Washburn and you never know what he'll look like.

I don't know that Canty is a "second tier guy"... Most of the writers doing FA lists have him near the top of the list.

I say second tier because he would probably start if he was going to a team that plays a 3-4. Coming here i would assume Jones would be the starter and he would be part of the rotation with Vickerson and another DT via draft or FA. I agree he would be a good fit here and could very well start but because the way the Titans rotate their D-line and really dont know how Jones is going to hold up playing every down,it would be safe to assume he would be in a rotation..
