I know Vince has worn out his welcome in Nashville...but Simms is NOT the answer.

Actually, we need Gonz to draw attention away from Scaife and Gage.

and what would we do if he was double covered?
not much good after that. he is a beast though and just getting one thing will not solve the passing problem. a good WR and tony prob. could.

Gage is a good WR. Not elite, but good.. why look elsewhere?

Scaife is good as well....well technically he's not a WR, but watch his numbers go through the roof with Tony on the other side.

I think if the Titans can land Tony Gonzalez and Nate Washington, that will be a good addition to the receiving threats. If the Titans can't re-sign Jones especially, Washington brings the same flexibility, but has proven flexible. Doing this would also cost less than Anquan Boldin, and if Haynesworth is in the plans, this may be the more affordable route we see taken. I'll also throw in, again, Amani Toomer, if we're headed down this road. The Titans should then have at least a decent top 3, better than the last few years, probably, with Hawkins getting time, and if Jones is on the roster for the right price, so much the better.

I think the Titans will let Sciafe test FA (Scaife isn't worried and wants to stay here), and see if they can land Tony Gonzalez. I think they'll do it early so that if Scaife has an offer he's tempted to sign, the Titans will know by then if Tony G. is a viable option. Scaife's role would be diminished by Gonzalez. I disagree with the statement Crumpler should be insulted if we got Gonzalez. Crumpler has shown to be a better blocker, at least this one year, and is not selfish over his role. Hopefully, he and whoever will be murder at TE together, if his knees are sturdier, but regardless of future production and with only one year left on his contract besides, insulted he should not be.

We have a VERY GOOD running back, an average+ running back, a good TE and a good WR right now. We need an ELITE player at a skill position to make the rest of those GOOD players better. And I personally think that in our system, run first and short passes for the most part, a HOF TE would be the most valuable thing we could add. An elite wide receiver is right at the top of the list too, but great receiver have great seasons when they catch 85+ balls, which will probably never happen in TN.

if gage is good then why did our TE, HB, and 3rd string WR have more receptions?
he is rubbish. our recievers are rubbish.
