But the other 52 players on the roster are going to get salary increases too! Think about how quickly that 30 million will disappear if you sign just one free agent to a huge contract every year and then include every other players' increase too. It would soon get out of hand. That's why we have to be careful that when we sign a free agent. You don't just think about how it will affect the cap this year; you have to think at least four years ahead.

all i have to say is that we have roughly 30mil. in cap room.
    lets spend it eh?
it could be resigns, FA, Draft, etc.. and isnt the cap space getting taken away anyways?

we have money, lets no just stare at it.

Its tough to say, thee market will correlate with the draft, for example, we grab a nice wr, we might wait a few rounds to grab one, Im all for grabbing a LB and CB in the draft in the early rounds. I really dont see us spending big in the FA market, again. But well have to wait and see

Let's also remember the salary cap seems to increase almost every year as well. And not all 52 other players on the roster are going to get salary increases, some will get cut and be out of the NFL. Some won't be worth signing and will hit free agency.

We don't have many gems left that aren't under longterm deals, except Bulluck and KVB, and I could see us letting KVB walk IF we sign AH this offseason.

Only way i see that happening is if Ford and Ball have another solid season and then you have Kearse's contract expiring after the 09 season. The decision on Albert is going to have a huge impact on not only this season but next year as well as far as re signing players and adding them.

You are right, but usually if we cut them then they are making so little that it doesn't really help.

Carpy was right on about our Fa signings.

I'm not even sure we can call Jmac a bad signing. He only cost us $1M and had 29 catches and was a good blocker. We didn't expect more than that did we?

WTF? 29 teams have not won a super bowl in that time. What the hell is your point?

He actually earned his salary in 08. He just didn't pick up where he left off in his last season with the Titans...

He typically doesn't have a point. Just lots of volume. :ha:
